What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?

We wake up, get work, go back home and rinse and repeat – or at least it feels that way sometimes. In truth, there are a million moments in between where we interact with others and we can’t help but wonder what folks will think about us once we aren’t showing up, perhaps once we are gone. Some very thoughtful members of the community share their thoughts on this with us below.

I hope to be remembered as someone who cared about others, who was skilled at seeing the beauty in life, and who shared it generously through art. I hope people say that I played a meaningful role in raising the standard of residential architecture in our area—that I helped bring more thoughtfulness, creativity, and quality to the homes being built. I always tell people, that the only thing you take with you, when you are gone, is your name, and how people will remember you. I hope I’ll be remembered for someone that truly loved his family and friends. Someone that never compromised his principles, integrity and character to please others, that tried to do what is right, even when it wasn’t the easiest choice. Read more>>
