We’re looking forward to introducing you to Yachto Yatted. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Yachto, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
“My deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. My deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. You’re playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us. It’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same, as we are liberated from our own fear our presence automatically liberates others.”
-Coach Carter
“Basically, go beyond my fear and let my light guide my path. I like to help people become their best self. I’ve always done it, but I know I could do it on the biggest scale.”
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
“My name is Yachto Yatted, and I am the founder of Gas N’ Gamble, an art enterprise and music label dedicated to more than just sound — it’s about shifting culture and freeing minds. My mission is to jailbreak people’s thinking, helping them unlearn the limitations that stop them from chasing their best selves. Too often, society conditions us to worship others who simply pushed harder, instead of realizing we have that same potential within us. Through music, I want to spark change, much like icons such as Michael Jackson and Pharrell Williams inspired entire generations.
Our roster is growing strong — Da_One_Moji’s self-produced single Got Me on a Cloud drops September 27th on all platforms, and our other rising artists, Throaway, Creole Baby, and Sgl are preparing to release more powerful work soon.
As for me, I’m currently working on what I consider my OPUS — a project of 8–12 tracks slated for release before the end of the year. While I can’t reveal the title yet, I can say this: its essence is tied deeply to water. With Gas N’ Gamble, I’m not just building a label, I’m creating a legacy that’s about music, perspective, and lasting transformation.”
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
“Before the world tried to tell me who I had to be, I was just a kid with big dreams, moving to my own rhythm. I used to dance nonstop; I picked it up from movies like “You Got Served”, “Stomp the Yard”, all of the “Step Up” Franchise, then YouTube, learning the wave, pop-and-lock, and footwork. That was my first way of expressing myself, before I even knew what a mic or a stage felt like.
At the same time, I was a super athlete. My mom’s dream was for me and my brother to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; and truthfully, if we had locked in, we could’ve made it. But while I had the talent, my heart was always leaning toward creativity.
I even used to write and draw comics inspired by the Skechers Z-Strap cartoon. I thought it was the coolest thing seeing a dread head, sneaker-inspired superhero fighting off villains like B.O. (body odor). But I couldn’t get past writing all that dialogue, my comics were basically scripts, and that’s where I realized storytelling was already a part of me.
All of that, the dancing, the athletics, the comics, shaped the person I am now. I was Yachto before the name even existed; someone who believed creativity could shift energy, heal people, and open minds. That same kid is still here; the only difference is now I’ve got the vision, discipline, and tools to bring it all to life.”
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
“Fail fast, trust wisely, remember what entertains you trains you, and never forget your thoughts become your reality.”
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
“My closest friends would probably say what really matters to me is perseverance and resilience. They know I don’t let hiccups stop me; whatever I set my mind to, I’m going to push until I’m the best at it. At the same time, they’d tell you I’ve got a lot of empathy, because I care about people and want to see them win too. To me, it’s about grinding through the obstacles but still keeping your humanity intact. That’s the balance my people see in me.”
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
“I hope the story people tell about me when I’m gone is one of impact, resilience, and transformation. That I used my art and my platform not only to create music, but to free people from limitations, to challenge their thinking, and to inspire them to pursue their fullest potential. I want to be remembered as someone who persevered through every obstacle, who cared deeply about others, and who built a legacy greater than himself. Ultimately, I want my story to be that of an artist who sparked change and left behind a blueprint for growth, freedom, and self-belief. Maybe even winning a Humanitarian Award along the way.”
