We recently had the chance to connect with Simari T and have shared our conversation below.
Simari, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
I often lose track of time during the creative process, especially when I’m making beats and songs. I get fully immersed in experimenting with sounds, shaping ideas, and refining details. What brings me back is stepping back to hear how all the pieces connect—watching the beat take form and then imagining how the lyrics will flow with it. That balance between being lost in the details and then seeing the bigger picture is what makes the process so rewarding
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Simari T, and I’m a music artist, creator, and storyteller who specializes in making beats and songs that blend raw emotion with unique soundscapes. What makes my work special is that I treat every track like a journey—I’m not just making music, I’m building experiences that people can feel and connect to.
My brand is rooted in creativity and authenticity. I want listeners to hear not only the rhythm but also the story behind it. Right now, I’m preparing to release my EP When Angels Fall on 09/27/25. The project tells a story of love, romance, heartbreak, and starting over. It’s a reflection of real human experiences, layered with sounds and lyrics that capture both the pain and the beauty of growth. This project represents a new chapter for me creatively, and I’ve poured a lot of myself into shaping a sound that feels cinematic, honest, and unapologetically me.
At the core, my goal is for my music to move people and linger with them long after the song ends.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
In my eyes, bonds break when people stop sharing their truth—when communication fades or emotions are bottled up. We often lose sight of the bigger picture, not realizing how our feelings affect others and ourselves.
What restores them is vulnerability: being able to express your insight without fear of judgment—living out loud, unapologetically. Music has shown me the power of opening up, creating a space for others to do the same. That honesty is what brings us back together.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I think the biggest fear I’ve faced is the fear of failure—worrying that I won’t live up to expectations or that my efforts won’t matter. That fear has held me back from taking risks at times. But I’ve realized that failure is part of the journey, and every step forward—no matter the outcome—is a step toward becoming the person I want to be.
Another fear is being truly vulnerable—putting myself out there and sharing my art honestly. Early on, I worried about judgment or rejection, which made me hesitant to fully express myself. Over time, I’ve learned that the only way to grow is to embrace that vulnerability, both in life and in music. That fear hasn’t disappeared entirely, but it now drives me to create work that is authentic and fearless.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
I’ve always been an innovator, never chasing the next fad or trend. My focus has been on creating new waves through authenticity. Fads spike quickly in popularity but fade just as fast. My goal has always been to become an icon—someone whose work is remembered long after the moment has passed, not lost in the fleeting trends of the present.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely. I believe the true beauty in art isn’t found in recognition, but in the journey itself—the growth, the discipline, and the development of your craft. Even if no one praises it, giving my all is about honoring my own standards while staying true to my vision. Music has always been an outlet for expressing myself and telling stories. That commitment is what continues to shape me and drives my evolution as an artist
