Story & Lesson Highlights with Siera Sambrosky of St. Petersburg

Siera Sambrosky shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Siera, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Group and gallery-style mediumship readings. Even though it’s the gift and skill that I had so pronounced from birth, it’s the one that I have avoided, in some respects, most in this life. I have been afraid of it and afraid of the way people will respond to my being open about it. In the last year or two though, it is something that I have really stepped in to and am finding so much joy and satisfaction in how healing and impactful it is for others.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am an international intuitive medium that was born with spiritual gifts. I focus on using them in an integrative and holistic manner, primarily for those that are experiencing or moving through major life changes and transitions, or major changes and transitions in their business. I incorporate my training as a grief facilitator and human design, along with my coaching and NLP certifications, and 20+ years of business consulting to be able to deliver clarity, direction, and action-oriented plans to aid my clients in creating the version of themselves, their lives, and their business that they want and deserve-cutting through and leaving behind the BS that is not authentically who they are.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Ha! This is so the space that I work in, so I love this question! The truth is that I am completely, drastically different in my self-perception and the way I “live out loud” now then when I was younger. I AM living, very largely, as who I truly am before the world told me who to be.
This has been a long and hard journey though. And it definitely doesn’t need to be. The suffering, angst, and darkness that I experienced for such a large part of my life, because of trying to force myself to be who the world told me to be, has made it my focus to relieve people of that horrible pressure and confinement. There is no reason we can’t discover for ourselves where are programming and conditioning is out of alignment and in total contridiction to our soul. And, it doesn’t need to be a hard process of revealing and rewiring that.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Oh my gosh…about a million times over! Ha! I have not only wanted to many, many times, but I have at different time. Only to be pulled back, or “called” back,
to do the work that I was meant to do, that my heart and soul desire for me.
The path feels long some days, Hard some days. The funny thing is though, that internally, it creates more and more strife and unease when I try and go back to a traditional path.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. If you know me personally, then you know me on social media, professionally, on a podcast, etc. And vice cersa. There is no longer separation between the way I “front” in a public version and am privately. That was not always the case. I used to very much have different versions, depending on who I was with and what role I perceived they needed me to play. It was never exactly conscious or meant to be manipulative in any way. It was most often out of people-pleasing, and just happened. I even thought it was a great asset to be able to chameleon-like.
There is something to be said for being able to adjust slighlty how we present to others dependent on their capacity to receive us. One might call it being empathetic and mindful that others are different, come from a different vantage point, and communicate and think differently. There is a big difference between making adaptation for connection and understanding, and reshaping yourself to be liked, loved, and accepted though.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
That life does not need to be hard. That having a business or “healing” journey or relationships, or whatever it is that people are telling themselves needs to be hard to get somewhere, or get to where they want, HAS to be hard; it’s a lie. It really doesn’t. And once you are able to shift and release the things that are inherently driving you into believing that, and so therefore creating a hard experience; then you can experience things with ease and peace.
