We recently had the chance to connect with Lisa Marie Oliver and have shared our conversation below.
Lisa Marie, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I feel like I’m being called to step fully into my faith and let it be the foundation of my business. For a long time, I kept that part of myself separate out of fear- fear of judgment or losing clients. But now, I know Redeemed Ink & Co is meant to be more than just eyebrows and tattoos- it’s meant to be a space of healing, beauty and testimony.
Rebranding has been about putting God’s name in the heart of my business and trusting him with the outcome.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
In 2021, LM Brow Studio was created— a simple name that was to the point, with one goal: to build something, not knowing what it would become. What unfolded was beyond anything I could have imagined — a business built entirely by word of mouth. No ads, no marketing — just referrals and relationships.
Since then, I’ve expanded my services, honed my craft, and grown — not just in clientele, but as a person!
Over time, I felt called to reflect on what I wanted my business to mean and what did I want to be known for? And most importantly, how could I give glory to God for all He’s done?
As I prayed and leaned into my faith, one word kept rising to the surface- Redeemed.
I am redeemed by the grace of Jesus Christ — and I knew that whatever platform I had in this industry and community, I wanted to use it to honor Him.
A new name, a deeper purpose — same passion, ink!
I’m a mom of 4, married to a wonderful and supportive husband, we have our white English Lab Cooper, we run two businesses and keep busy with our social and school calendars. We’re busy but thankful, these were all things once prayed for, I know we’re living in an answered prayer.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Without a doubt, my relationship with Jesus Christ after I was baptized, it completely reshaped how I see myself. I stopped looking at myself through my mistakes or limitations and started seeing myself as redeemed, loved, and called to something greater.
It’s shown me that my identity isn’t in what I do or what I’ve been through-it’s in who He says I am, this changed everything.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self, “you are already loved, already chosen-don’t let fear or mistakes convince you otherwise. One day you’ll understand that even the hardest parts of your story have a purpose.”
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to making sure my work reflects my faith. For me, Redeemed Ink & Co is a ministry, not just a business. If even one person experiences the love of Jesus through what I do, it’s worth it.
What started as just eyebrows has transformed into something else, where art meets faith.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I worry people may misunderstand my legacy as being about success or growth. Those things are great but as of late it hasn’t been about numbers. My hope is that long after the business fades, the seeds of faith and love planted in peoples lives will keep growing, even if it started with shaping brows or a tiny tattoo!
