We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kayla White. Check out our conversation below.
Kayla, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity comes first for me, because without it, nothing else really holds value. In my business, my parenting, and my spiritual path, I want to know I’m operating from a place that’s real and honest.
Energy is second, because I believe the frequency you hold shapes everything you attract. I’ve seen how my own alignment and energy can either magnetize opportunities or block them.
And then intelligence. To me, it’s being adaptable, creative, and willing to learn. Intelligence matters, but if you don’t have integrity and aligned energy behind it, it can be misused.
Integrity builds trust, energy creates momentum, and intelligence keeps you growing. Together they’re powerful, but if I had to choose, integrity is the foundation.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kayla White, and I’m the founder of Koko Marie Beauty, a boutique studio where I specialize in brows, makeup artistry, and skin rituals. I’ve been in the beauty industry since 2018, serving hundreds of clients, and my brand is built on more than just aesthetics – it’s about creating an empowering, intentional experience that helps people feel confident, seen, and celebrated.
What makes Koko Marie Beauty unique is the way I merge artistry with energy. Every service is designed not only to enhance someone’s natural features but also to leave them feeling aligned and elevated. Right now, I’m expanding my services into permanent makeup, custom skin rituals, and even my own in-house product line, all while building a space that reflects my belief that beauty is both inner and outer work. My mission is to create an environment where self-care feels sacred and transformative, not superficial.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was wild, creative, and deeply in tune with energy – even if I didn’t have the words for it yet. I moved through life like everything was art, and I believed my ideas and imagination were magic. I’ve always had a gift of seeing the beauty in everything.
Somewhere along the way, the world tried to convince me to be smaller, to be scared, quieter, more palatable. But the truth is, that untamed version of me never left – she just waited for me to grow strong enough to bring her back.
Now, I’m reclaiming her fully. She’s the one who fuels my artistry, my business, and my healing work. She reminds me that I was never meant to fit in – I was meant to create, transform, and show others the power of coming home to their truest self.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Success shows you what’s possible – but suffering shows you who you are when everything feels impossible.
Through my hardest seasons, I learned patience, self-trust, and compassion in ways I never could have learned through winning alone. Suffering forced me to slow down, to listen to myself, and to realize that my worth isn’t tied to circumstances or validation. It made me resourceful, it made me grounded, and it made me unshakable.
Now, when I experience success, I carry it differently. I don’t chase it to prove something – I receive it knowing I’ve already survived the fire that shaped me. And that’s a lesson success could never teach on its own.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The project I’m most committed to is creating a space that blends beauty, health, and wellness into one transformative experience. Koko Marie Beauty started with brows and makeup, but my long-term vision is an entire wellness center that offers beauty services alongside healing practices. A place where people can care for their skin, body, and spirit all in one sanctuary.
I want to expand into my own product line, education for future artists, and eventually build a center that feels like a hub for empowerment, alignment, and community. It’s not just about services for me it’s about giving people the tools, energy, and confidence to transform every area of their lives.
It doesn’t matter how long it takes, because this is more than a business. It’s my life’s work and my legacy.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
What I’m doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years is laying the foundation for something much bigger than me. Every client I serve, every product I develop, every piece of content I put out – it’s all part of a long game.
I’m not just building a beauty business; I’m creating a brand and a legacy that merges beauty, wellness, and energy into one. My dream is to open a full health and wellness center that offers everything from brows and skin rituals to yoga, energy work, and holistic healing. That kind of vision takes time, but I’m committed to the process, because I know what I’m building will outlast me and impact generations.
