Harley Bell shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Harley, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes after waking up are some of the most powerful moments of the day. Having a solid routine in place during this time can completely shape how the rest of your day unfolds. I’ll be honest—I don’t always hit it perfectly, but most mornings, those first 90 minutes are structured and consistent, and they make all the difference.
The most important foundation is having a consistent bedtime and wake-up time. For me, that usually means starting my day around 6:30–7:00 a.m. The very first thing I do when I wake up is say a prayer of gratitude. Before I touch social media or messages, I open my Bible app and read the verse of the day to start my morning grounded in God’s Word. After that, I get out of bed, brush my teeth, and go through my skincare routine. Then I hydrate with 15–20 oz of water, take my morning supplements (Adrenal Restore by 1st Phorm and Pumpkin Seed Oil), and start brewing my coffee, which I mix with collagen with Dermoval (currently using Peppermint Mocha by 1st Phorm).
Since I like to work out in the mornings, I get dressed, take my little nephew dog, Drako, for a walk, and then head out the door for my workout around 8–8:30 a.m.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
About Me
Hi, I’m Harley! I’m originally from Tennessee but now I get to call sunny St. Pete, Florida home. My journey into fitness really started with my own transformation. I lost over 80 pounds and even had a tummy tuck to remove the loose skin from that weight loss. For a long time, I thought those were the things that would finally make me feel confident and happy. But when I got there, I still felt like something was missing.
That’s when I realized—losing weight doesn’t automatically heal what’s going on inside. True confidence doesn’t come from a number on the scale or the “perfect” body. It comes from doing the inner work—breaking old patterns, healing from past hurts, and learning to see yourself the way God sees you. When I finally surrendered control and let the Lord guide not just my fitness journey but my whole life, everything started to shift. My joy and peace didn’t come from perfection—they came from progress, from faith, and from choosing to grow into the woman God created me to be.
About B.Confident
That journey is what inspired me to create B.Confident, a space for women to grow in mind, body, and spirit. What makes B.Confident special is that it’s not just about losing weight or sticking to a workout plan—it’s about helping women believe in themselves again. We focus on the inner work just as much as the outer habits, because I’ve seen firsthand that real transformation happens when the two come together.
In our community, we celebrate progress over perfection. We dive into fitness, nutrition, and healthy routines, but also mindset, confidence, and faith. We remind women that they don’t have to do it alone—and that they already have what it takes to step into the best version of themselves.
Right now, I’m really excited about expanding the ways we connect, whether that’s through retreats, group challenges, or deeper one-on-one mentorship. At the heart of it all, my mission is simple: to walk alongside women as they discover the strength, confidence, and purpose that’s already inside of them.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is my relationship with God. It wasn’t always that way—I didn’t grow up Christian, and for much of my life, I didn’t believe in God at all. That began to change in December of 2023 when I started going to church. But honestly, it wasn’t just church or family that led me to faith—it was the real experiences I walked through.
God revealed Himself to me in the things He’s saved me from, the hardships He’s carried me through, the grace He’s poured over my life, and the miracles I’ve witnessed both personally and in the lives of those around me. Those moments shaped how I see myself today: not through the world’s standards, but through His love, His purpose, and His plan for my life.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been more times than I can count when I wanted to give up—on my weight loss journey, on my business, on coaching, and even on my sobriety. But what carried me through those moments was twofold: first, the strength God had placed within me long before I even had a relationship with Him. Looking back, I can see He was always there—lifting me up when I felt like I couldn’t keep going. And second, the women I have the privilege of coaching.
There’s nothing more powerful than watching someone experience that breakthrough moment—when they realize their worth isn’t tied to a number on the scale, but to the confidence they’re building from the inside out. That has kept me moving forward, even in the hardest seasons.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I believe with everything in me that we all have the power to change. That belief fuels my purpose: creating a space where women can step into their strength, their confidence, and their full potential. For me, it’s not about helping women shrink themselves down to fit a certain image of “skinny.” It’s about helping them rise up into who they were created to be—strong, powerful, and unapologetically confident.
It breaks my heart to see women so unhappy in their own skin that they turn to drastic measures, thinking being thin will finally make them feel fulfilled. I’m committed to showing them a different way, no matter how long it takes. Because true fulfillment doesn’t come from a number on the scale—it comes from building habits that last, from healing the inside, and from discovering just how capable they really are.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
Yes—one of the biggest accomplishments of my life was losing over 80 pounds. Don’t get me wrong, it absolutely changed my health, gave me more confidence, and allowed me to wear clothes I never would’ve worn before. But the truth is, the number on the scale didn’t satisfy me the way I thought it would.
What truly fulfilled me weren’t the results themselves, but the process—the habits I built, the changes I made to my nutrition, the consistency of moving my body every day. Those daily choices became the real reward, because they gave me lasting strength, confidence, and freedom that no “goal weight” ever could.
