Story & Lesson Highlights with Gregg Brotman of Palm Harbor

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Gregg Brotman. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Gregg, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
Sleep in, fix drones, edit videos, update websites, schedule social media post, love on my girlfriend, hang out with my boys annd dog Toby. Then do it all over again the next day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Gregg, the founder of DroneEverything, RadMultimedia, Radmx and VisitTarponSprings. I specialize in professional drone repair, sales, training, rental & aerial services, content production, and business marketing. What makes my work different is that it’s all hands-on, personal, and built from real experience — from rebuilding DJI drones, crafting high-quality video content that tells a story. I’m currently focused everything Multimedia & Drones. Everything I do is rooted in precision, creativity, and hustle.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work is myself. Every lesson came from trial, error, and refusing to quit. I didn’t have someone holding my hand — I figured it out by diving in, solving problems, and building everything from the ground up. That’s how I learned discipline, patience, and how to stay sharp no matter what gets thrown my way.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yeah — there were definitely moments I almost gave up. When everything hit at once — tight deadlines, gear failures, financial pressure, personal life dramas— it felt like too much. But I reminded myself why I started. I didn’t come this far to fold. Every setback turned into a skill, and every tough moment just made the brand and the mission sharper. Giving up crossed my mind, but pushing through is what built everything I’ve got now.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say what matters to me most is building something real — something that lasts. I care about doing things the right way, staying solid through pressure, and making sure whatever I put my name on is done with purpose. I’m not chasing hype — I’m building a legacy.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I want people to know I never cut corners. I built everything from scratch, stayed true to my word, and never backed down from the hard route. I put in the work, helped others level up when I could, and left behind something that mattered — not just a business, but a standard. When I’m gone, I want people to say, “He didn’t just talk it — he lived it.”
