Story & Lesson Highlights with Dori Pupa of clearwater

We recently had the chance to connect with Dori Pupa and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Dori, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What battle are you avoiding?
An autoimmune deseasehas been part of my journey, shaping both my resilience and perspective.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Dori, and I’m not just a photographer—I’m a storyteller who brings soul into every frame. Originally from Albania, I began my career as a philosophy teacher. That foundation in deep thinking and human connection shaped the way I now work behind the camera. After moving to Florida, I rebuilt my life and launched Dori Studio—a space where art, healing, and photography meet.

What makes my work unique is the emotional depth I bring to every session. I don’t just capture smiles—I capture stories, transitions, and truth. I specialize in lifestyle, portrait, and branding photography, always seeking to highlight natural beauty and honest emotion.

Right now, I’m focused on building a creative community in Tampa Bay—especially for weddings. I’m also working on a project that blends photography with healing rituals, giving clients not just photos, but experiences that reconnect them with their essence.

Whether it’s a quiet portrait or destination wedding, my goal is always the same: to create something meaningful and lasting.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
