Shamii Dieuveille shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Shamii , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
My purpose has always been to mentor and pour into others using the gifts God has placed in me. For many years, I steered away from it, either doubting myself or letting fear convince me that I wasn’t ready. Now, I feel called to embrace it fully sharing my experiences, guiding others, and stepping into the role I once ran from.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Shamii Dieuveille! I’m a Florida-based Realtor®, content creator, and entrepreneur with a passion for helping families unlock the next chapter of their lives. What makes my journey unique is that I don’t just focus on real estate I also create inspiring content that highlights family, travel, and lifestyle through my brand Dvil Squad. I love using both my business and creative platforms to mentor, motivate, and show others what’s possible. Right now, I’m focused on growing my real estate team, expanding my content creation, and creating opportunities that allow me to pour into others.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationships that have most shaped how I see myself are with my husband and my kids. They are my why. My husband encourages me to believe in myself and pushes me to grow, while my children give me purpose and inspire me to lead by example. I do what I do for them so they can have a meaningful life, and that drives me to keep building, creating, and leaving a legacy they can be proud of.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has been my greatest teacher, offering lessons that success alone could never provide. It instilled resilience, humility, and the ability to trust God in the midst of challenges. I believe that in order to be a testimony to others, you first have to go through a test and those experiences refined my character and deepened my capacity to lead and serve with purpose.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
The cultural value I protect at all costs is faith and family as the foundation of everything I do. My work, brand, and leadership are all shaped by this principle, ensuring that no matter how much success or growth comes, my priorities remain anchored in God, integrity, and the well-being of those closest to me.
Being Haitian-American, I also carry the values of resilience, community, and hard work that are deeply rooted in my culture. I grew up watching how Haitians come together, uplift one another, and find strength even in the toughest times. That spirit of perseverance and unity is something I protect and live by daily, and it’s a value I strive to pass down to my children and those I mentor.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I believe I am walking in what I was born to do. While I once followed paths shaped by expectation, I now operate in alignment with my God-given purpose using my gifts to lead, inspire, and create opportunities for others. This shift from obligation to calling has given my work true meaning.
This past summer, I returned to my hometown with my children to show them where I came from the bus rides I had to take, the lights that were once turned off, and the rides I hitchhiked for myself and my brother. Those experiences, though difficult, shaped me and remind me why I walk boldly in my purpose today: to turn my past into a testimony and to build a legacy of possibility for my family and others.
And through it all, I never forget who was in my corner cheering me on my Godparents, my mom, my brother who motivated me, my sister, my friends who were there with a helping hand, and my boyfriend at the time (now my husband) who constantly spoke life into me. Their belief in me carried me through when I couldn’t always see it for myself.
