Hi Tammy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My journey started 16 years ago when I attended my very first Pure Romance party with my coworkers. I absolutely fell in love with the products and the presentation. I loved how it was very sexual health wellness forward and provided a lot of education to help women understand their bodies. At the time, I was a single mom of two young daughters so I was in desperate need of a flexible part-time gig to help provide for my family. The next day I purchased the starter package and have never looked back! I spent 15 years of my business servicing all over the Midwest primarily in Wisconsin and northern Illinois and the universe landed me in the Tampa Bay area 16 months ago where I believe I truly belong. I like to consider my parties a stand-up act! I not only educate women on sexual wellness but it is done in an entertaining way with lots of humor. My lifetime sales are well over $1 million and I lead a team of hundreds of women all over the United States that also generates over a million annually. I’m currently in the top 1.5% of the company and hold a position of prestige with the Senior Board of Directors. My mission is to educate, empower and entertain women everywhere!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road at all! When you own your own business, you have to be motivated and driven. At times it can be very isolating and hard to stay motivated. Relocating my business 1200 miles after 15 years was the most challenging thing I have done personally and professionally. I did not know anyone when I moved here and I have to continuously network and expand my outreach to new people while maintaining my current client base. I am grateful that I love what I do and I am passionate about serving others so I know that at the end of the day the services I provide are rewarding.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known for being the authority on women’s sexual health. I love to entertain women and make them feel comfortable enough to trust me. I have a huge following on multiple social media platforms where I engage with my customers and share my new life in Florida with my dog, Lakshmi, fashion and where I am partying that night! I try to be completely transparent about my struggles with relocating and it makes me relatable to women. Many would also consider me very funny so that helps in the line of work that I am in. I bring fun to everything. I am proud of the fact that I took a chance on myself and made a change to relocate. Starting over put a lot of things into perspective and I knew I was feeling stagnant in h my hometown of Milwaukee. The salty air of Florida brought fresh air into my personal and professional life!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I think a lot of people think I am spontaneous and a risk taker because I love to have fun but I am actually very regime and love a routine. I have the same breakfast every morning after I make my bed.
