Rising Stars: Meet Natalia Rosado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalia Rosado.

Hi Natalia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After graduating from college with a degree in Fine Art, I continued to seek my purpose in life. I tried many other jobs with several different companies, but I never found anything that made me truly happy. I always loved doing hair and makeup but never even considered getting into it as a career. I feel like I was ignorant of how far you can go and how lucrative the industry was. I started by getting a measly little kit and getting cheap makeup or free makeup I’d find. That’s how I built my kit. Little by little, I would get more and more into it and started taking classes from celebrity makeup artists and also getting licensed. I then started working for a wedding company and that taught me a lot about being a traveling artist. Since then, I began getting into salon services such as microblading and lash extensions. After renting a space for years, I decided to open up my own suites in Brandon to rent to other professionals. Then, I kept growing! I am now opening a third location in Westchase and am excited to be a young entrepreneur!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Nothing good ever comes easy, and if it does, it doesn’t last long. I face many struggles to this day, but I continue to push forward. Being a landlord and an artist is difficult, but it is worth the time and dedication! Managing three salon locations, working weddings, doing lashes, soon permanent makeup, all while still trying to maintain a personal life is not easy! Some things that help me along the way are technology, which can be about a blessing and a curse, along with support from friends and family!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a tattoo artist, esthetician and landlord as well. I specialize in bridal hair and makeup first, then brows second. I am known for my makeup and hair before any other services. I am most proud of the salon suites that I started about 2.5 years ago. What sets me apart from others is I put customers first and I never substitute the quality from the equation. I am all about quality AND affordability which is why I have succeeded thus far.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see a huge increase in the salon suite business, especially since the pandemic has changed the way we work and function in this industry. The more “personal” or “private” trend is happening more now than ever.
