Rising Stars: Meet Jeremy And Patreese George of Tampa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy And Patreese George.

Hi Jeremy and Patreese, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Yes, absolutely. The story of Kallumannil begins long before the brand ever took shape. Forty years ago, my father left his home in India and came to the United States with a high school education, ten dollars in his pocket, and a vision for a better future. What mattered then was the step of faith he took toward the land of opportunity.

In 1988, my grandfather followed. The Kallumannil name was planted in Philadelphia – the city of brotherly love. From the start, our family was built on love: a love for God, a love for hard work, and a love for people. That foundation shaped everything that would come after.

In 2016, God placed a dream in my heart -one that I didn’t yet have the structure for, but I knew it would one day become something meaningful. While living in Australia, I met my wife Patreese. She was from London, I was from the USA, and somehow our paths crossed on the other side of the world. I shared that dream with her: to build a brand that was more than clothing. A brand rooted in family, shaped by service, and inspired by the belief that the person wearing the suit is more important than the suit itself. She believed in that dream with me.

In the winter of 2023, that dream finally became reality. We launched Kallumannil, carrying my grandfather’s name and the values our family has held for generations. Every client who walks through our doors should feel like they’re stepping into our home. Sit down. Relax. Grab something from the fridge. We’ll take care of you.
The vision that started with a $10 journey now lives on in every piece we make. Kallumannil is family – and when you’re here, you’re part of it.

And now, the story continues. Six months ago, Patreese and I welcomed our baby boy. He represents the next chapter of our family and our business – proof that Kallumannil isn’t just a brand. It’s a legacy being passed from one generation to the next.

Today, we’re proud to welcome clients to our Ybor City studio, while also offering to bring the Kallumannil experience directly to you, wherever you may be.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been smooth, but we’ve learned along the way. Every day and every client is a journey in our craft. We’ve had to figure things out quickly – and sometimes the hard way. Factory mistakes out of our control have been some of our biggest challenges, but delivering for our clients always comes first. We know that we’re a smaller player in a big industry. But hungry dogs run faster, and we’re hungry to keep improving and perpetually dedicated to creating special, stunning custom pieces for our clients.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Kallumannil, we craft custom suits and luxury menswear. We’re known for combining meticulous craftsmanship with a personalized, family-inspired experience – whether in our Ybor City studio or brought directly to our clients. What sets us apart is our dedication to service, attention to detail, and the belief that every client should feel valued and celebrated. I’m most proud of building a brand that honors my family’s legacy while creating truly special pieces and experiences for those we serve.
