Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started Dazzling Treasures as a side hustle, just making tassel earrings. Before DT, I was beginning to feel unfulfilled in my life and needed to find something I would enjoy doing with my extra time while also providing something people would love. I brainstormed on many concepts, and the one that I immediately became obsessed with was the idea of making earrings. I’d never made a pair of earrings before, let alone any other jewelry pieces, but I’ve always been creative, so I knew I would be able to with enough practice. I launched DT on Instagram on January 1, 2018, and sold on Etsy until I decided to build my own website. Now I make all forms of fashion jewelry from earrings to body pieces and sell all over the US. I’ve learned a lot along the way as a fashion jewelry designer and a business owner by doing a lot of research, learning from my own mistake, networking and collaborating with other entrepreneurs and artists.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Everything is a lesson to be learned, but everything is flowing and happening the way it’s supposed to happen.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a creator in many different ways before I became a businesswoman. But my first title is a fashion jewelry designer. I make earrings all the way to body chains. One of the pieces of jewelry I created that I’m most proud of is a dress made out of chains. It took me about a week to finish it. I am very proud of it. Dazzling Treasures is a mixture of the two things that I love, fashion and spirituality. DT customers can come and shop for a bra chain and also get a healing crystal necklace at the same time that are all handcrafted and custom-fitted. That’s what separate us from others.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I think the most surprising thing people who know me and my work might not know is that I am actually shy and introverted. I model my jewelry pieces a lot in photos and promo videos, and it would seem like I’m 100% confident and but in actuality, I have insecurities and doubts.
