Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Evan Mahoney.
Hi Dr. Evan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m an Acupuncturist whose life many years ago was saved by Acupuncture. Mine has been a remarkable adventure and journey of self healing. I’ve written several books on health, fitness, and meditation, which includes ‘Saam Medical Meditation’ and ‘The Interpretation of Dreams Study, Parts 1 & 2’. I am also a passionate stretcher and have books and videos on stretching as well.
For over 10 years I have been conducting research on the Interpretation of Dreams according to Saam Medical Meditation’s – Three Levels of Human Needs. It has been exciting to discover how dreams can tell us about our selves, our wants, desires, needs, and Constitution .
It is through this research that I’ve launched the Interpretation of Dreams Theater, which is a creative enterprise that hopes to engage and connect with people according to the subjects revealed in their dreams.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At a young age I believe I contracted a likely Rheumatic Heart Disease Diagnosis through exposure to damp, cold winters growing up in Pennsylvania. For decades my poor Heart Health determined a fatalism, I always felt minutes away from a heart attack. Fortunately through prayer, I was delivered as a patient to seek out Acupuncture. That was the day my life forever changed. What had been a curse, became my life’s blessing, as miraculous healing unfolded in me, even unto today.
The meditation I’ve practiced 5- 8 hours every day for the last 23 years is on the awareness and movement of Qi in my body. ‘Cultivate your Garden of Qi’ and ‘Where the Mind goes, So goes Qi’ are some essential sayings in the practice of Taichi, QiGong, and Acupuncture. This meditation is the subject of my books.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The Interpretation of Dreams Theater is a summation of all the creative work I’ve done in my life. As a singer songwriter, writer, doctor, philosopher, and encourager of others to live their best lives. Perhaps the most difficult challenge in life is to move from positions of dissatisfaction to satisfaction. The goalposts are always moving. The Interpretation of Dreams Theater encourages people to be blessed through all life’s challenges.
