Today we’d like to introduce you to Alivia Espina
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Liv’s Visions Photography was founded out of a hobby. Ever since I was about thirteen years old I had a passion for photography. I started using my phone and then I picked up my mom’s camera and fell in love with it! I saved up money to purchase my own camera and did free sessions for a while, but I eventually started charging when I decided that photography was something that I wanted to do for a career. It was then that I saw my passion, for capturing timeless images that people can cherish forever, unfold! I then had a vision and a dream from that point on. I now get to watch those dreams and visions unfold day after day. One of those dreams for my business was to take it full-time and I am proud to say that I am a full-time photographer now. God is good!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As any business owner may know…it isn’t easy! In fact, it ended up being harder than I thought it would be. But I knew that this is the hard I chose and I learned to see the good through all the hard and it honestly made the hard easier.
I believe that with God anything is possible. That includes running a business. I always keep in mind that no matter the struggle. God was always there to give me strength.
There were times that I ran into problems and complications, and there was even a time that I questioned if I should continue to do this, thinking I wasn’t good enough. But that is not the kind of mindset that will get you where you want to be. I have learned, as a business owner, that your mindset is the biggest thing. If you believe you won’t make it and you keep a negative mindset then it will affect your business in a negative way. But if you continue to believe the good and how much you are worth, you will see your business excel!

I am very passionate about visual storytelling and capturing special moments in my client’s lives. I am a lover of golden hour and chasing the sunset. My mission is to serve each and every one of my clients in a way that leaves them feeling beautiful, confident and authentically captured.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I have learned to see the good through the hard times. There are plenty of ups and downs being a business owner, but I believe the way to handle those ups and downs is to learn from them. This is whats sets you up for success. You fall, you get back up! You keep going! Keep showing up. Your time and hard work will pay off!
