Meet Roberto Nieves

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roberto Nieves.

Hi Roberto, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Sure! My name’s Roberto and I’m a Brand Strategist and Website Designer. I actually didn’t know what I wanted to do as a career until I was 25 years of age, I was going into a career in accounting because I was told all my life that being an artist will not get me that far, and I will not earn as much.

I never was around anyone that owned their own business, so all I was really taught was to work under someone, come home, take care of the family, and do it all over again. But then I had a life-changing event, that made me realize that time is too short and I decided to go back to school for Graphic Design.

I started Robb Nieves Design Co. in the midst of the pandemic, witnessing everyone lose their jobs due to big corporations laying them off in order to recover from their losses. I think this is when people finally open their eyes and saw that; being your own boss was a way to not only have more job security but to make the income they want to make and still have that time for their family.

I soon realized that my heart was helping entrepreneurs gain the confidence to work for themselves and help them build that brand awareness.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In retrospect, looking back from where I started to where I am now.

The real true challenge was gaining confidence. I was my own enemy. I would tell myself that since I was an introvert I wouldn’t be able to market or connect with people the way I wanted to; even though I had so much knowledge of what I was doing. I thought that no one would have seen the value.

But I quickly realized that using my own experience in life and being an introvert was my superpower. Being an introvert meant that I was a great listener, It meant that I was a great problem solver, among other great attributes.

So I now help entrepreneurs gain their confidence and figure out their strengths through how they experience life.
