As a registered nurse, I’ve always been dedicated to helping others through healthcare. But I wanted to expand that mission beyond traditional medical settings, which is why Anna and I teamed up to launch Tampa Bay Tattoo Removal. Our vision was to create a place where people could feel empowered to make a change, whether it’s removing a tattoo for personal reasons or moving on from a past they no longer identify with.
Anna and I saw an opportunity to combine my medical experience with her business expertise to provide a service that truly makes a difference. We chose the Astanza Trinity Laser because it allows us to offer safe, effective, and precise tattoo and permanent makeup removal. But we didn’t want to stop at just providing a service. Together, we created a community outreach program to offer free tattoo removals to post-incarcerated individuals and survivors of human trafficking, helping them reclaim their lives and start fresh.
The work we do at Tampa Bay Tattoo Removal is about more than just removing ink—it’s about transformation. Watching clients regain confidence after a tattoo removal has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Starting Tampa Bay Tattoo Removal has been an exciting but challenging journey. While we’ve had a clear vision from the start, navigating the various aspects of launching a new business hasn’t always been easy. One of the biggest challenges has been understanding the ins and outs of a niche industry like tattoo removal. From ensuring we’re using the best technology, like the Astanza Trinity Laser, to creating a seamless client experience, there’s a lot to manage in a highly specialized field.
Another significant challenge has been navigating the business side of things—figuring out everything from marketing to client education and managing operations. With tattoo removal, it’s essential to educate clients about the process and manage expectations, so building trust through effective communication has been a top priority. We’ve also worked hard to create a welcoming environment where every client feels supported during their tattoo removal journey.
The road hasn’t always been smooth, but each challenge has made us more focused and determined to provide the best service possible.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
From my perspective, being in healthcare for over a decade, treating patients before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic provided deep insights into the resilience of both healthcare professionals and patients. During the pandemic, I witnessed firsthand the physical and emotional toll it took on people, from the overwhelming stress on hospitals to the uncertainty everyone felt. It reinforced my commitment to patient care, safety, and the importance of clear communication.
The experience taught me how to adapt quickly in times of crisis, ensuring patients received the care they needed while navigating changing health guidelines and protocols. It also gave me a new perspective on how critical it is to help people feel empowered about their health and well-being, which is one of the driving forces behind launching Tampa Bay Tattoo Removal with Anna.
Tattoo removal might seem unrelated to pandemic care, but the idea of helping people move forward, shed the past, and feel more confident in their own skin is closely tied to my role as a nurse. Whether it was helping patients through a health crisis or now assisting clients in removing tattoos that no longer resonate with them, the goal is the same: to offer care, support, and the tools for a fresh start.
The lessons learned from working through the pandemic—empathy, adaptability, and a deep commitment to health—are values that I carry forward into this new chapter with Tampa Bay Tattoo Removal.
