Meet Lissa Stahmann of Happy Cabbage Brands, LLC dba Jonquil Beauty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lissa Stahmann

Hi Lissa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Jonquil Beauty is a clean beauty & clean grooming – nail care, skin care, hair care, cosmetics and beauty accessories, product and brand review site dedicated to all people.

Established in the Sunshine State in 2021, the goal of Happy Cabbage Brands, LLC dba Jonquil Beauty exists to provide honest, authentic, clean beauty & clean grooming – product and brand reviews and information to help you become educated about ingredients and products so that you can feel good about each beauty and/or grooming product you purchase and use for your daily routine.

Mike, the Founder and President of the company, and his girlfriend Lissa, came up with the name of the company when they were living in the city of Smyrna, GA. You may not know that Smyrna is the Jonquil City. What is a Jonquil? Simply put, it’s a fragrant short-tubed, yellow flower with long narrow leaves. This flower blooms in great quantities in Smyrna in the Spring and it is also incorporated into the company’s logo as a symbol of blooming into a new era of beauty and grooming.

The focus for the business to pivot from all beauty to solely clean beauty came from Lissa, Mike’s girlfriend, as a recent brain tumor survivor, Lissa personally focused on finding healthier solutions for nails, skin care, hair care, and her overall well-being, and through her struggles and that personal journey, she began her quest for finding Clean Beauty and less toxic ways of daily living.

The website, e-commerce shop and ShopMy & Amazon storefronts are a result of Lissa’s continued research as she finds Clean Beauty and Grooming brands that resonate with her and that she truly loves and believes in,

You may see from time to time that we throw in a find that is something eco-friendly, ethically sourced and still comforting to her during her continued rehabilitation, such as interior home decor, including blankets, pillows and candles or inspirational quotes and even art!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The struggles we face are usually based in finding the right consumers and introducing them to ways of getting themselves into a healthier grooming routine. Clean beauty and grooming is so important to everyone, really.

It’s similar to cleaner eating, you’re consuming healthier foods on a cleaner whole foods or organic diet and the result is that you start feeling better. Why not also level up and use beauty and grooming products containing less chemicals and toxins too?

We believe that going clean in the beauty and grooming realm doesn’t have to be a large challenge these days since there are so many products available that do amazing things for our bodies and our overall wellness. These products are also becoming more mainstream and much more affordable.

We also don’t want people to make a leap that they’re not ready for. Even if it’s just a tiny step of changing one item at a time in someone’s hair, skin, cosmetic or nail routines, sometimes that one thing you eliminate and replace with a healthier alternative can benefit your health greatly in the long term.

We also realize that everyone has their own comfort level when it comes to using healthier alternatives in beauty and grooming products so it’s a compromise and challenge for everyone.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Happy Cabbage Brands, LLC dba Jonquil Beauty?
Since the inception of Happy Cabbage Brands, LLC our mission has been to provide a way to give back to the community.

What we’re really interested in overall is building a community to help other people who may not have what they need in life.

We want to find better ways of connecting with communities that need a helping hand. It may be something as a simple as a ride to a Dr’s appointment; Helping someone fill out all those patient questionnaires; or cooking and feeding a meal to a neighbor and their family that just went through a traumatic experience.

Our dreams and aspirations are to one day be able to be a trusted source for community outreach but for now we are encouraging everyone to get out there and volunteer or donate time or money to charities that you believe in and pass the gift of doing good for others forward.

What were you like growing up?
Lissa is a native Floridian — from Gainesville, FL. Growing up, I was always interested in caring for and helping others while my personality has always been introverted and didn’t always compliment my passions. I would describe my interests as ranging from creativity, playing music, learning foreign languages, hiking and traveling. A lot of things changed as a result of multiple brain surgeries and treatments so my focus has changed over time and although I may not be able to do some of the things I used to or do them nearly as well, my heart is still firmly rooted in helping others. Mike is from Waterbury, CT and has an extremely outgoing personality. He is Italian-American and always ready to tackle the world! Mike is a software engineer and both of us have always been intrigued with computers and figuring out how things work. We also are both great at cooking and baking and are avid coffee lovers! Of course, we’re also both interested in clean beauty and grooming and living healthier lifestyles!
