Juan Figueroa, at just 24 years old, has been instrumental in shaping the growth and culture of Paramount Home Group as its Director of Growth. Raised by a single parent and coming from humble beginnings, Juan chose to pursue real estate as a lifelong career instead of the traditional college path, demonstrating both self-awareness and a deep commitment to his personal and professional development. His journey is a testament to resilience, dedication, and vision.

With Juan’s committment, Paramount Home Group has expanded into three new markets—Miami, Orlando, and beyond—while maintaining its core values of collaboration, support, and high performance. Specializing in condominium sales and experience in managing 70 doors, Juan ensures that every agent benefits from the same level of commitment that has fueled his own success. His role in overseeing quality control for agent hires and staff fosters a culture of excellence and inclusivity, empowering agents to grow their own businesses while contributing to the team’s collective success.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey in real estate has been shaped by a lot of challenges, but they’ve also been the driving force behind my growth. As a young adult, I had no financial safety net—no one was there to bail me out or offer support. I had to figure things out on my own, and that mindset shaped my work ethic. Relocating solo from Orlando to Tampa was a big leap for me. It symbolized a fresh start, but also the beginning of my career. Purchasing my first home and then saving for my second was no easy feat, but it’s a reminder of what I’m capable of when I stay focused and disciplined.

At Paramount Home Group, the challenges have continued, especially when it comes to dealing with the inevitable hiccups in our systems. I’ve had to adjust to the idea that improving our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is a constant, ongoing process. The list of things to refine and improve never seems to get shorter, but over time, I’ve fallen in love with that grind. It’s become crucial for me to find the balance—knowing when to dive deep into the work and when to step back, allowing room for improvements that benefit the entire team.

One of the biggest hurdles for me has been managing ego in the real estate industry. It’s so easy to get caught up in the competition and let negative energy seep in, but I’ve made it a priority to constantly reflect on my own actions and deflect any negativity that comes my way. It’s been a challenge, but I’ve learned that staying grounded and focused on the bigger picture not only helps me grow but also makes a positive impact on those around me. These struggles have shaped me, but they’ve also driven me to become better—for myself, for my team, and for the industry.

2. **Agent Recruitment and Onboarding**: Overseeing the recruitment process for new agents, Juan ensures that every hire aligns with the team’s high standards. He is also responsible for creating a smooth onboarding experience that sets agents up for success from day one.

Some of my strongest characteristics are rooted in the challenges I’ve faced and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. First and foremost, **resilience** is something I take pride in. Coming from humble beginnings and navigating life without financial support, I’ve learned to push through adversity and stay focused, no matter the obstacles.

I also believe that my **strategic thinking** has been key to my success as Director of Growth. I’m always looking at the bigger picture—how we can expand, improve, and seize new opportunities. That ties into my **adaptability**. I’ve had to learn to embrace constant change, whether it’s refining our systems or tackling new challenges. It’s something I’ve grown to love, because it pushes me to continuously improve.

**Empathy and emotional intelligence** are also big parts of who I am. I make it a point to connect with people on a personal level, understanding their needs and supporting them in any way I can. It’s not just about business for me—it’s about helping others grow, and that’s a responsibility I take seriously.

My **work ethic** has always driven me. Whether it’s managing a portfolio, leading recruitment, or scaling operations, I’m fully committed to giving my best. I also thrive on **problem-solving**—I love digging into our processes and figuring out how we can make things run smoother. There’s always something to improve, and I’m passionate about finding those solutions.

At the same time, **humility and self-awareness** keep me grounded. I constantly reflect on my actions, making sure I’m staying true to my values and avoiding ego-driven decisions. Real estate can be a competitive industry, but I focus on staying humble and positive.

Lastly, **leadership and mentorship** are at the core of what I do. It’s important to me that I’m not just leading the team but helping others succeed in their own right. Creating a culture where people feel supported, valued, and motivated to excel is something I’m proud of, and I’m always looking for ways to elevate those around me.
