Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Brady.
Hi Joshua, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in upstate New York and have been fortunate to live in many different places during my medical training, from New York to Michigan to Oklahoma. Along the way, I developed a deep commitment to dermatology—particularly medical and surgical care, complex skin disorders, and skin cancer prevention and treatment.
After completing my Dermatology residency at the University of Oklahoma, where I served as chief resident, I moved to Tampa for an exciting new opportunity. Thanks to the leadership, teamwork, and dedication of our staff—especially our outstanding practice manager Bre—we’ve successfully brought the vision of a new general dermatology practice in Tampa to life.
For me, the story has been about blending my academic background and passion for dermatology and patient care with the chance to help build something special from the ground up. Having just moved to Tampa, it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch our practice grow, connect with patients from across the community, and create a welcoming space for dermatologic care. I’m grateful for this new adventure and excited to get connected with the Tampa community both inside and outside of the clinic.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any journey in medicine, the road has had its challenges. The path through medical school, residency, and training is long and demanding, and navigating the ever-changing landscape of healthcare can make finding the right opportunities more complex. Discovering a true private practice opportunity where I could help build something new was especially meaningful to me.
Starting a new dermatology practice also comes with its own creative challenges, from renovating a new office building to spreading the word and building trust as we grow a patient base. But those challenges have also made the process incredibly rewarding. It has been such a great learning experience for me, and these new experiences have only made me more excited to invest in Tampa and become part of this vibrant community.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Tampa Bay Dermatology (TB Derm)?
