Meet India Ballington

Today we’d like to introduce you to India Ballington.

Hi India, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My experience with wine started with the good old Penn State Tailgates and casual slap-the-bag contests. It wasn’t until Greg introduced me to a fine wine that I saw what I was missing!

My first extremely structured elegant bottle was the 05’ vintage Pahlmeyer. That being said I’m no sommelier here. That’s me in a nutshell! Greg’s experiences with wine probably started when he was around 8 years old.

Not necessarily tasting it, but always learning from his dad in his wine cellar. Still today, besides a little mishap, he still keeps getting texts from my dad when he cannot find something in the cellar.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting the business was the smooth part. As we continue to learn it was very hard during Covid not being able to interact with followers and travel to new areas.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

I am Director of Global Business Operations at R1. I specialize in technology implementations.

My most proud moment was achieving my MBA. Or it could be getting my fur baby. Typically, I would say my ability to connect with people really sets me apart. I love to love life and have fun. I really don’t take much too seriously.

My husband Greg is Day trader focusing on penny stocks and new to the crypto world. My most proud moment for him was setting up an audit company to review NFT projects! Love the entrepreneur spirit!

He also has an uncanny ability to recognize labels (useful for the wine industry), sometimes even just from seeing the capsule.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?

Greg has always been quite the introvert. Sticking to a small and trusted group of friends. He has a love to travel like myself. Although I’m not a fan he loves playing call of duty with my friends.

Im the opposite. I have been pretty outgoing my entire life. I love to meet people and learn about different cultures. Most of my interests involve that exactly. I try to expose myself to as many new opportunities in life as possible.

The sky isn’t the limit. Limitations are something I don’t believe in and truly live to avoid.
