Meet Hetal Kanani

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hetal.

Hi Hetal, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Since childhood, art has been my deepest passion and the most natural way of expressing myself. Drawing and painting have always given me peace, positivity, and a beautiful escape from everyday stress. For me, creating art is a form of meditation—a way to relax, recharge, and express what I feel.
My journey took an unexpected path. I pursued accounting and successfully passed my CPA exams, but my passion for art never left me. Eventually, I realized that my heart was truly in creativity, and that passion brought me to where I am today.
My family, who constantly encouraged me to follow my heart and pursue my love for art. My Dad’s support continues to remind me that creativity is not just a hobby, but a way of life.

Over the years, I have explored different mediums and techniques, including acrylic painting, textured art, mixed media, glitter, and traditional Indian-inspired artwork. I love experimenting with new ideas and combining colors, textures, and different materials. My goal is always to create something special and one-of-a-kind
Sharing My Passion Through Art Classes
Teaching art has become another very special part of my journey. For the past 10 years, I have been teaching art to children, helping them discover their creativity and build confidence through drawing and painting. I have participated in many art events and art competitions.
COVID time became an important turning point. During such a difficult and stressful time, I wanted to use art to bring positivity and connection to others. I started my YouTube channel, launched online art lessons through Zoom, and opened my Etsy shop.
Today, through The Creation Art, I create original artwork, accept custom commissions, sell my work, and teach children and families. I have created everything from large-scale wall murals—some around 14 feet—to oversized canvas artwork and detailed custom pieces
One of my greatest goals is to pass my creativity, culture, and heritage on to the next generation through art.
Art is my journey, my passion, my meditation, and my way of sharing happiness with others.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of my biggest struggles has been balancing my responsibilities while continuing to follow my passion for art. Building an art career takes time, patience, and constant belief in yourself—especially when the results do not come immediately.
There were many moments when I questioned myself. Creating artwork is one thing, but finding the right audience, selling my work, promoting my art, teaching students, managing commissions, and running the business side of creativity can be overwhelming. As an artist, you are not only the creator—you often become the photographer, marketer, teacher, salesperson, and business owner too. But Today, when I see people enjoying my artwork, when a client tells me that a painting has transformed their space, or when my students discover their own creativity, I realize that every struggle was worth it.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The first and most important quality is believing in yourself. Never give up, even when the journey feels difficult. Follow your dreams with passion, patience, and consistency.
