
Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg “Jesse Kage” Jamason
Hi Greg “Jesse Kage”, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey took me from the world of radio to real estate! I was a radio dj for close to 25 years before making the leap to real estate. A lot of that time was spent right here in Tampa Bay. My bio sums it up nicely.

over 14 years rocking your airwaves on multiple stations throughout Tampa Bay, but most notably
with 98Rock. Once Jesse decided that it was time for a career change he jumped into the world of
real estate and never looked back. Jesse built up a trust with the Tampa Bay community with the
genuine, personal and honest way he interacted with his audience and he continues to use that
same amount of integrity when helping you find and navigate the purchase of your perfect home.
It’s all about those positive #RockNRealEstate vibes!”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A career change after so many years is never an easy process. In 2020 when I finally left radio to start this second half of life journey, changing from the only career I had ever really known since High School, it honestly for me, more than anything else, was a huge mental leap into this new career path. How would I be accepted in this new role and industry when for so many years people knew me as that 98 Rock radio guy, the Kage Rage and Mandatory Metallica guy. How would they accept me in a role where I was handling, for most, their biggest sale, purchase or both concurrently of their life. So with that in mind, I knew I had to throw myself in to this new arena completely, learn the ins and outs, truly study the markets from the top to the bottom then learn to execute flawlessly in this world of Real Estate that is constantly evolving. So I did, I dedicated countless hours to learning the craft and it’s not only what I preach to my team, The Kage Collective at Re/Max Collective Fl, but what I actively personally still do first thing daily. I carve out time every single day to continue to learn the ever changing landscape of Real Estate here in Tampa Bay and in turn continuously evolve my business to be the absolute best that we can be!

I’m a REALTOR and proud! I love that I get to help people find their Rock N’ Real Estate Fantasies all around Tampa Bay on a daily basis. Working with Sellers and Buyers energizes me in a way that I thought I could only get from the microphone. It’s funny, I have been on stage in front of tens of thousands of people screaming my old “Kage Rage” catchphrase and the excitement I got from that is the SAME as when I tell a client that their offer was accepted or that they received the offer they were hoping for! The reaction is so similar, the excitement the same.
At the Kage Collective we pride ourselves on being “different” than many other Realtors in that I firmly believe that YOU as an individual are your brand. You need to be “unabashedly you”. When I first made the jump from radio, I considered changing up my look etc, to be more “Real Estate”. Then I quickly realized that would be a ridiculous move because this business is built on making sure your clients trust you. And the best way to achieve a sustainable business in Real Estate is to build it on your “sphere of influence”. My former listeners ARE my sphere of influence. They would never buy Jesse Kage with the lame generic “Hi, My Name Is” realtor name tag and stock suit. Not that I can’t rock a suit, it just needs to be a bit more “Metal” . 😉
Yet I digress, we encourage all of our team members to be “unabashedly themselves”. Now, for me, I know that my full sleeve tattoos, jeans and vans kicks may not be everybody’s mug of beer at first glance, but that’s okay. I am a lot of people’s taste and even if at first glance you think, “wait, what?” I promise after a quick chat you’ll be like “okay, this guy knows his stuff, I could work with him”!
As for my team, they all have their unique niches. We have a couple agents that are Military and they lean into that world and are able to speak directly to so many of our vets and active military here in Tampa on a truly personal level. Then we have a couple Gen Z’rs that are the heart of the next great wave of potential buyers along with Millennials. They are amazing because they, just by being themselves, have the ability to own the social media world and speak uniquely to their peers in a way that makes what could be a scary stressful experience, one that is enjoyable and fun! My business partner Mike Edwall and myself are so very proud of all that they are accomplishing! Julia, Nikki, Eric and Jon are truly exceptional Realtors and even better people!
And again, we just want them to be who they are with the ultimate goal of making EVERY client we have family. And not just saying it, meaning it. From the first conversation to closing and well beyond, The Kage Collective is about making everyone feel like family and that is what I am most proud of!
