Eden, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At just eight years old, I stumbled upon a deck of tarot cards at a yard sale for 75 cents. The woman who sold them offered a quick explanation, sparking my curiosity when she mentioned their potential to reveal glimpses of the future. That moment marked the beginning of a lifelong journey.
Growing up in the countryside, I had limited opportunities for social interaction, so I often spent time at the home of friends whose grandmother affectionately known as Mama B; had immigrated from Haiti. One day, I brought the tarot cards over, and as we were exploring how they worked, Mama B walked in and asked what we were doing. I told her we were playing a game called “Tomorrow’s.”
After examining the cards, she asked if they worked, and I explained how I understood them. Unbeknownst to me at the time, Mama B was a “manbo” a high priestess of Haitian Vodou. She invited me into the kitchen and showed me her personal Betty Crocker cookbook, filled with handwritten notes, psalms, and conjure formulas. She had embraced American hoodoo in her twenties, blending traditions and beliefs in a way that resonated deeply with her. By the time I met her, she was in her seventies and had decades of spiritual experience.
Under her guidance, I was introduced to the art of conjure and a spiritual pantheon that ultimately changed my life. What began as a personal passion for readings evolved into a professional path out of necessity. Every practitioner brings a unique gift to this work, and as we develop, we refine our talents just like any other craft.
When I arrived in New Port Richey, there was only one other metaphysical shop in town. With my husband as a silent partner and investor, I began building a space to offer readings. His support has been instrumental whether helping with setup, engaging with customers, or embracing the many projects that followed although while working as a firefighter paramedic. The business continued to grow organically, and I’m incredibly grateful to him for his patience and unwavering encouragement.
Looking ahead, our vision is to launch an online store that will allow us to connect with a broader spectrum of clients across the country and beyond. We want to make our services and curated spiritual products more accessible to those who may not have a community nearby. This next chapter is about expanding our reach while staying grounded in the personal, transformative experiences that started it all.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Spiritual ascension isn’t a finish line it’s an unfolding path. Getting to a place where I can teach, uplift others, and build a spiritual business has meant holding space for my own healing while guiding others on theirs. Even our masters are never finished; they continue to rise, evolve, and learn. I’m grateful that my foundation was rooted in deep support from my family and friends. Their encouragement gave me the strength to grow internally and create a business that reflects that journey.
We’ve been impressed with Eden’s Essential Elements., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After traveling over 1,500 miles from my hometown, I chose to settle in New Port Richey and open a metaphysical store with the intention of helping others through psychic and mediumship readings. My goal was to create a space where people could find guidance, healing, and spiritual empowerment. What truly sets my business apart is its essence when people walk in, they’re stepping into my home. It may look like a shop, but it feels like sanctuary while bringing magick into everyday use while respecting the boundaries of closed traditions
We reject judgment here. While many people leave religious backgrounds due to persecution, they often encounter similar experiences in spiritual circles. I wanted to offer a safe, inclusive space where every practice and every person is honored.
We take great pride in our brand, known for exceptional handmade candles, spiritually accurate readings, conjure work, and holistic services. Including handmade conjured oils crafted with intention and ritual to support a range of metaphysical needs. These oils are deeply personal and powerful.
Our approach is grounded in integrity. We’re not here to appropriate we’re here to educate, uplift, and offer authentic spiritual support to those seeking it.
If we’re going to get a little personal, I’m even called upon from other shop owners in the area to cleanse spaces that some have gotten over their heads. As a medium and a spiritualist, I offer several services that some practitioners find less than desirable.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Happiness is a view on perception. We can only make ourselves truly happy.
