Amarilys, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
My business story begins in January 2018. After being with a company for 5 years, my values for my career and life shifted and I set out to find something different. When I didn’t find this in another company, I embarked on the journey to create the company that I dreamed to work for. 5 years later, AMA Behavioral Consulting does that! I’ve created not only a quality ABA program but a company that’s compassionate and caring and has tons of fun doing so!
Please tell us more about your practice.
AMA Behavioral Consulting provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy) services for children and their families with and without a developmental diagnosis. We teach our learners through play and teach them the skills they need to succeed including how to regulate their emotions, learn to advocate for themselves and increase social and independent skills. We work alongside parents and caregivers to teach them skills to teach their child and help them navigate behavioral challenges. I’m the most proud of the success our families and team have made as whole. We collaborate with other professionals to ensure we are working together as a team and in this way make the most progress with our learners!

Carrie is an incredible human and equally incredible financial coach. She was able to review my current business needs including a potential expansion and helped me identify why the plan would or would not work. She continually offers support in the form of one to one meetings, offers suggestions that I did not think of with my experience and provided me with the confidence both personally and in my “numbers” to know that we could take those next steps. During our initial meeting, I was able to revisit one of my biggest dreams with expansion and it didn’t just seem like “dream”and helped me realize that this was a goal, and an attainable one at that!
