Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosalyn Yellin.
Hi Rosalyn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My life story is complex. I love where my journey has taken me. I was lucky to fall in love and marry the love of my life who is an amazing husband. I have 5 wonderful children and 4 incredible grandchildren. I’m very proud of how far I’ve come in my life.
I am the daughter of immigrants. My mother was born in Germany and my father in Italy. I was raised in a very strict household. I was sent to boarding school for high school to a different country where I did not speak the language. That was quite difficult for me. I truly believe that hardships and obstacles definitely make us stronger.
We are better people when we overcome and conquer life’s challenges. The key To being fulfilled and happy is to learn how to be grateful and to give back. Helping others Is the greatest thing that we can do..
When we became empty-nesters, my husband and I moved to Florida from Bucks County, Pennsylvania.. I began a whole new exciting chapter in my life, and it has been very fulfilling.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My life has not always been a smooth road. My teenage years were quite hard; Living abroad in a different country, not speaking the language. But it taught me a lot about surviving and thriving. When I came back to the United States, I was introduced to my husband. We worked hard to build our dream life. We had a very traditional marriage. He worked outside of the home and I raised our family. When the kids were old enough to be in school full time, I taught dance fitness.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am so proud that I was on the hit show members only Palm beach on Netflix. It was a dream come true. I had a lot of fun filming the series and I learned a lot about myself. I’ve learned that I don’t like controversy and I don’t stand up for myself. I have always tried to appease others and to make them feel comfortable around me. But at the same time, I dimmed my own light. I truly found my voice in episode eight and it has taught me to use my voice in my day-to-day life. I started a supplement company 2 years ago. I manufacture my all I. 1 supplement in a clean facility in Florida. I love, knowing that what I’m putting into my body is clean, third-party tested, and made right here in the USA. Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I don’t listen to Apps podcasts, blogs, or others for advice. My grandmother was the strongest person that I know. She was a holocaust survivor, fleeing the Nazis from country to country. When I need advice or a pick me up, I think to myself what would my grandmother do.
