Hi Melissa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began my journey in beauty long before it became my career—styling hair and doing makeup for friends and family was something I truly loved growing up. Over time, that passion evolved into a dream I was determined to bring to life. Twelve years ago, I made the decision to pursue it professionally, and that choice set the foundation for everything I’ve built today. I am now a luxury hair and makeup artist specializing in bridal, and I’m proud to lead a talented team that travels throughout Florida and beyond to serve our clients. What started as a personal passion has grown into a full-scale, on-location beauty company known for delivering elevated, tailored experiences for brides and their parties. Every step of this journey—continuous education, hands-on experience, and an unwavering commitment to my craft—has shaped the artist and business owner I am today.
I’m grateful to do what I love, to create timeless looks for some of life’s most meaningful moments, and to have built a team that shares the same dedication to service, artistry, and luxury.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In the beginning, I was focused entirely on growth, which meant making a lot of sacrifices. I often offered services for free just so I could practice, gain experience, and build a strong portfolio. I would travel to clients without charging just so I could get photos and build my brand. As a young single mom, not making money during that time was incredibly difficult, but I knew the investment would pay off in the long run. Another challenge came early in my career when I worked as a salon manager at a very young age. Stepping into a leadership role so soon was tough—many people didn’t take me seriously, and that made it hard to feel confident in myself and in the path I was pursuing. Still, those experiences pushed me to grow, stay committed, and keep moving toward the dream I knew I wanted to make real.
Looking back, those struggles were defining moments. They taught me resilience, humility, and the importance of believing in my craft even when others didn’t.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a luxury hair and makeup artist specializing in bridal hair and makeup, while also providing these services for all special occasions, or even just a 1-1 makeup class to learn about products and how to apply them. I lead a talented team that provides on-location services throughout Florida and beyond. My focus is creating elevated, timeless, and camera-ready looks that allow brides to feel like the most confident, refined version of themselves on their wedding day. With 12 years of experience, I’ve developed a reputation for delivering a seamless, stress-free experience from inquiry to “I do.” What I’m most proud of is the level of trust my clients place in me. Being part of such meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime moments is something I never take for granted. I’m also incredibly proud of the team I’ve built—each artist shares the same commitment to luxury service, professionalism, and artistry, which allows us to take on weddings of all sizes while maintaining a consistent, high-end standard.
What sets us apart is our combination of experience, adaptability, and genuine care. Beyond just creating beautiful looks, we focus on the full experience—attention to detail, clear communication, and a calm, supportive presence on a day that can feel overwhelming. My journey from practicing on friends and family to building a full traveling team has given me a unique understanding of both artistry and client relationships, and that blend is reflected in every service we provide.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality that has been most important to my success is my commitment to consistency—both in my artistry and in the experience I provide. I show up with the same dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail for every client, whether it’s a small elopement or a large wedding party. That consistency has helped build trust, strong word-of-mouth, and long-lasting relationships. Another characteristic that has played a huge role is resilience. The beauty industry can be challenging, and growing a business while balancing motherhood required a lot of perseverance. My ability to stay focused on my goals, even during the hard seasons, is a big part of what has brought me to where I am today.
Lastly, I believe my genuine passion for what I do has been a driving force. I truly care about my clients, their experience, and the energy I bring into their day. That authenticity is something people feel, and it’s a quality that continues to shape my success.
