Today we’d like to introduce you to Julie Kyle.
Hi Julie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I have been doing hair for about 14 years. My dream has always been to open my own salon one day, I love making women feel confident and beautiful! So after managing a corporate salon suite concept I decided to open my own. In 2019, I and my husband opened jksuites.
A salon suite concept where salon professionals can run their own business. We had opened right before the pandemic and actually had to close down for 2 months and re back open! It was at that moment I knew we were stronger than ever and could get through anything.
Almost 3 years later, we are a full-house salon suite that holds 6 amazing professionals. I couldn’t be happier. I also work doing my clients 4 days a week at the suites. It’s a wonderful dream come true.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think business is ever smooth. There are always obstacles, opening right before the pandemic was one of our biggest struggles
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a blonde specialist, I do color all day every day, and love every minute of it.
What sets me apart is the fact that I make everyone who steps into my salon feel comfortable. It’s an experience.
