I was born in Cuba, where I completed my nursing studies five years ago. Although I cared deeply for my profession, the country’s limitations encouraged me to pursue a future that matched the size of my dreams. That decision led me on a long journey through twelve countries before finally arriving in the United States—a place that welcomed me with opportunity, hope, and the chance to build a new life close to my family.
Even though my academic background was in healthcare, beauty had always been a quiet but steady passion in my life. I grew up surrounded by women who understood the transformative power of their craft—my mother and my then mother-in-law were both hairstylists. From a young age, I found myself washing, styling, and straightening hair, not realizing at the time that these early experiences were shaping my future.
Starting over in a new country required determination, resilience, and an unwavering work ethic. I had no guidance, no network, and no clear sense of where to begin, but I was committed to building something meaningful. With time, discipline, and constant effort, I learned, researched, and eventually enrolled in cosmetology school—balancing my studies with motherhood, including a second pregnancy.
My career path led me through several salons, each one teaching me invaluable lessons about technique, service, and the kind of professional I aspired to become. Many experiences were challenging and demanding, but each one strengthened my dedication to my craft. With persistence and faith, the opportunity eventually came to rent my own space, and that was the moment Ayre’s Beauty was truly born.
Today, Ayre’s Beauty reflects years of sacrifice, passion, and growth. I am grateful for a loyal and supportive clientele, and for the opportunity to transform not just hair, but confidence and self-expression.
My journey is a reminder that dreams are achievable when dedication meets purpose. With consistency, hard work, and belief in oneself, any obstacle can become a stepping stone. I hope my story encourages others to follow their path boldly and to never give up on the dreams that continue calling their name.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has definitely not been smooth. Starting over in a new country without guidance, connections, or a clear roadmap brought many challenges. I had to learn everything from the ground up—how to study here, how to build a clientele, and how to navigate an industry that was completely new to me on a professional level.
Balancing my education with motherhood, especially during my second pregnancy, was one of the most demanding seasons of my life. There were moments of exhaustion, moments of doubt, and moments when the path forward felt unclear. In addition, working in various salons exposed me to difficult environments, including places where the conditions were tough or unfair. Those experiences tested my patience, my confidence, and my commitment to my craft.
But every struggle served a purpose. Each challenge taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of believing in my own vision. The journey was far from easy, but it shaped me into the professional I am today and strengthened my determination to build something meaningful with Ayre’s Beauty.

At Ayre’s Beauty, I specialize in hair transformations with a strong focus on color, blonding, and creating healthy, radiant results. My work blends technical knowledge with creativity, and my priority is always the health and integrity of the hair. I’m known for delivering personalized transformations that look beautiful, natural, and tailored to each client’s features and lifestyle.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients. Many of them have been with me since the very beginning, and watching their confidence grow through each transformation is incredibly rewarding. Building a loyal clientele—after starting from zero in a new country—remains one of my greatest accomplishments.
What sets me apart is my commitment to truly listening. I take the time to understand what each person wants, what they’re afraid of, and what will make them feel their best. I don’t rush my work; I treat every transformation with care, intention, and respect for the craft. My background in nursing also taught me compassion, patience, and attention to detail, qualities that are now part of the way I approach beauty.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
believe that meaningful growth always involves risk. One of the biggest risks I took was leaving my home country to start over in the United States with no guarantees, and later pursuing a new career in the beauty industry while balancing motherhood.
Taking these risks was not easy, but they allowed me to build Ayre’s Beauty and create the life I envisioned. To me, risk is about moving forward despite uncertainty, trusting your vision, and stepping out of your comfort zone to achieve something greater.
