Sana Yusuf shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Sana, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I’m walking a clear path, but I allow myself to wander along the way. Those detours aren’t distractions… they’re part of the journey, even when it doesn’t feel like it in the moment. Every time I wander, I learn something about myself, and every detour gently leads me back to my main path with more clarity, trust, and intention.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dr. Sana Yusuf – a dentist, entrepreneur, and creator at heart. I own and operate a boutique dental studio and med spa where my work sits at the intersection of healthcare, aesthetics, and whole-body wellness. What makes my brand unique is that it isn’t built around quick fixes or trends; it’s rooted in intention, education, and long-term care. I focus heavily on functional dentistry, airway health, TMJ therapy, and aesthetics – always with the belief that how we look, feel, and function are deeply connected. My journey hasn’t been linear, but every chapter has shaped the work I’m doing now: building spaces and systems that feel thoughtful, human, and genuinely supportive – for patients, teams, and communities alike. Right now, I’m continuing to expand that vision through education, innovation, and projects that allow me to serve in deeper, more meaningful ways.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents taught me the most about work. As first-generation immigrants, they showed me that hard work doesn’t always look the same. My mom worked tirelessly raising us and holding everything together at home, while my dad went out every day to provide. Their consistency, sacrifice, and constant hustle set the standard for my work ethic. Watching them taught me that work is about responsibility, resilience, and showing up – even when no one is watching.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Even when it doesn’t feel like it, you are enough. You don’t have to keep achieving to prove your value… your worth was never meant to be tied to what you accomplish. You are beautiful and you deserve the world.
