We recently had the chance to connect with Lorenzo Shelton and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Lorenzo, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
After a long day, creating content is what truly brings me joy. It’s my time to unwind, be creative, and pour into something that feels authentically me. Turning everyday moments into something meaningful never gets old.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Lorenzo, the creator behind Lorenzo Love, a fashion, lifestyle, and travel brand rooted in authenticity and real-life experiences. I create content that gives an honest look into my everyday life, the good, the bad, and everything in between ,while inspiring my community to show up as their true selves. What makes my brand special is the transparency I bring to storytelling, whether I’m sharing personal moments, style inspiration, or life on the go. Right now, I’m focused on growing my digital community through meaningful content, brand collaborations, and storytelling that feels relatable, uplifting, and real.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Before I ever learned to see myself clearly, my grandmother did. She raised me, guided me, and believed in my potential from the very beginning.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me patience, resilience, and self-compassion in ways success never could. It showed me how to keep going even when the outcome was uncertain.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The version of me the public sees is authentic, but it’s not everything. I choose to share moments that align with my purpose while protecting parts of myself that need privacy.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope the story people tell once I’m gone is that I lived honestly and led with love. That I was raised by a grandmother who saw me before I could see myself, and because of that, I learned to see others deeply too. I hope they say I used my voice and creativity to tell real stories, to make people feel seen, and to remind them that being yourself is more than enough
