ANNA KHITA shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi ANNA, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
I laugh every single day — truly. I believe humor is one of the most powerful tools we have to navigate life with grace. It keeps me grounded, present, and open to the everyday miracles around us. I’ve always chosen to see the glass as half full, because that mindset shapes everything — it keeps us grateful, inspired, and ready for what’s next.
One of my proudest recent moments was when Face Naked Studio received the Tampa’s Best 2025 Golden Award for Best Permanent Makeup Clinic. This recognition means so much to me, not just for the title, but because it came from the people who know my work best — my loyal clients, devoted students, and the physicians who trust me with their patients.
At Face Naked Studio, our philosophy goes far beyond aesthetics. My mission is to help people restore their confidence, symmetry, and sense of self through permanent makeup and medical tattooing. Many of my clients come to me after medical treatments or previous procedures that left them feeling self-conscious. To earn their trust — and the trust of physicians who refer them to me — is one of the greatest honors of my career.
This award represents more than achievement; it represents years of dedication, compassion, and artistry. Seeing my clients regain their confidence and my students grow into skilled, heart-driven artists is what makes me proud every single day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Anna Khita, Founder, Lead Artist, and Educator at Face Naked Studio, Permanent Makeup Academy and Spa in Clearwater, Florida — an award-winning, physician-referred destination for permanent makeup, medical tattooing, reconstructive artistry, and advanced corrective procedures.
At Face Naked Studio, I see every client as a unique living canvas, and every procedure as an opportunity to transform confidence, self-worth, and the way someone feels in their own skin. Each treatment is performed entirely freehand, guided by my artistic vision, deep understanding of skin anatomy, and mastery of pigment science. My goal is never just enhancement — it’s helping clients look and feel their absolute best, naturally and beautifully.
I specialize in correcting old or botched permanent makeup and achieving youthful, rejuvenated results on mature, delicate, or challenging skin — a skill few artists truly master. Many clients tell me I’ve taken years off their face, but the most rewarding part of my work is seeing them rediscover confidence, joy, and self-love.
I also perform advanced reconstructive and medical tattooing, including 3D areola restoration, scar repigmentation, and complex pigment correction, helping clients regain not just appearance but emotional restoration and empowerment. I thrive on challenge — the more intricate the case, the more inspired I am to create a customized, skin-safe treatment algorithm that delivers flawless, long-lasting results.
Education is a core part of my mission. I mentor and train other artists through advanced PMU and medical tattooing programs, teaching not only technique, but artistry, skin science, and the compassion required to truly transform lives.
At Face Naked Studio, excellence is more than a standard — it’s a philosophy. Every client leaves restored, radiant, and empowered, and every student leaves inspired to bring the same artistry, precision, and empathy to their own work. My mission is simple: to merge artistry, medical precision, and heartfelt compassion, transforming lives one face at a time.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is my relationship with God. I see myself as a child of God, which means approaching every client, every student, and every procedure with faith, love, and a commitment to uplift and transform lives. It reminds me that I was chosen to use my skills to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life every single day — whether it’s correcting a botched eyebrow, restoring a faded lip tattoo, or performing 3D areola restoration.
Growing up, I was deeply loved and supported by my parents and grandparents, who instilled in me the belief that with faith, heart, and dedication, I could achieve anything I set my mind to. Their encouragement gave me the courage to pursue my passions boldly and purposefully.
From a young age, I was drawn to art, beauty, and transformation, captivated by how thoughtful, precise changes could spark confidence, self-worth, and joy in someone’s life. This passion naturally led me to specialize in permanent makeup, corrective PMU, and medical tattooing, where I combine artistry, precision, and compassion to create life-changing results.
For me, every procedure is more than appearance; it’s about transforming how someone feels about themselves. I am highly experienced in working with mature, delicate, or challenging skin, and I thrive on the artistry and precision required to restore natural beauty while enhancing confidence and self-esteem. Seeing a client’s face light up with renewed confidence is the reward and purpose of my work.
Faith, love, and dedication guide every treatment at Face Naked Studio, Permanent Makeup Academy and Spa. I serve clients locally in Clearwater and Tampa Bay, as well as nationwide, ensuring that each person receives personalized, transformative results. Every brush stroke, pigment choice, and procedure is designed to restore beauty, confidence, and self-worth, leaving clients empowered, inspired, and radiant.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Life’s greatest lessons often come from the moments that challenge us the most — lessons that success alone could never teach. Losing my father at an early age instilled in me the importance of love, forgiveness, and expressing care without hesitation. Immigrating over 23 years ago, far from my family, tested my resilience in ways I could never have imagined. Later, raising my son as a single mother for many years brought profound challenges — financial uncertainty, limited support, and the weight of responsibility. Yet through every hardship, my son became my greatest source of strength, motivation, and purpose, inspiring me to persevere and pursue excellence in everything I do.
These experiences taught me to value people, opportunities, and each fleeting moment. I have learned to be grateful every day for what and whom I have, and to live fully in the present, appreciating the beauty, love, and connections around me. They shaped me into someone who approaches life and work with resilience, intention, and unwavering compassion.
In my career, these lessons translate directly to my clients: I understand the emotional and personal significance behind every procedure, whether it’s correcting a botched eyebrow, restoring a faded lip tattoo, or performing complex medical tattooing. I treat each person with precision, empathy, and respect, because I know the true power of transformation extends far beyond appearance.
Through struggle, I’ve discovered that true strength is quiet, unwavering, and transformative. Every challenge — loss, distance, hardship, and single parenthood — has honed my artistry, sharpened my expertise, and deepened my compassion. My purpose is clear: to restore confidence, self-worth, and joy for every client I serve. Resilience isn’t just surviving — it’s creating beauty, hope, and life-changing transformation in the lives of others every single day, while being mindful, present, and thankful for the blessings around us. This principle guides every stroke, pigment choice, and connection at Face Naked Studio, Permanent Makeup Academy and Spa, where I serve clients locally in Clearwater and Tampa Bay, as well as nationwide, transforming not just their appearance, but the way they see themselves.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
At the heart of my life and work are truths I live by, even if I rarely voice them. I believe that every person deserves to feel confident, valued, and beautiful, not just outwardly, but deep within. This belief shapes every decision I make as the Founder, Lead Artist, and Educator at Face Naked Studio, Permanent Makeup Academy and Spa, whether I’m performing corrective permanent makeup, medical tattooing, or advanced restorative procedures. Each client is a unique canvas, and every session is an opportunity to restore not just appearance, but confidence, self-worth, and joy.
I also hold the truth that faith, gratitude, and living in the present transform challenges into purpose. Life has tested me — losing my father, immigrating far from my family, and raising my son as a single mother for many years — yet these experiences taught me that resilience, compassion, and intention are more powerful than talent alone. Every obstacle reinforced my commitment to excellence, precision, and care, and to making a real difference in the lives of those I serve.
Finally, I believe that my purpose is to transform lives, one person at a time. The more complex the client’s needs — faded, botched, or delicate skin — the more I am inspired to craft tailored, transformative solutions. This foundational truth drives everything I do: pushing boundaries in permanent makeup and medical tattooing, innovating techniques for challenging cases, and ensuring that every client leaves not only with enhanced beauty but with renewed confidence, empowerment, and hope.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
I tap dance to work every single day because I absolutely love what I do — not just for the artistry, but for the life-changing impact it has on my clients. Every appointment is an opportunity to transform not only appearance, but confidence, self-worth, and spirit. I provide both corrective work for botched or faded permanent makeup and regular enhancements, helping clients achieve beautiful, natural results that boost their everyday confidence. I also specialize in medical tattooing, including restoring areolas for breast cancer survivors, helping vitiligo patients, and performing scar correction for burn victims. Each case requires a precise, individualized approach, and the more complex the challenge, the more energized and inspired I feel.
The greatest reward is seeing clients’ happy tears, receiving their hugs, and witnessing their smiles. Those moments are priceless, reminding me that my calling goes beyond pigment and precision — it’s about restoring hope, empowerment, and joy. Every day in my studio is a celebration of skill, compassion, and purpose, and every transformation — whether corrective or enhancing — is a privilege to be part of. That is why I truly tap dance to work: because helping people reclaim confidence and feel beautiful every day is the most meaningful work I could imagine.
