Inspiring Conversations with Yadira Alvarez of MiaBella’s Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yadira Alvarez. 

Hi Yadira, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I came from Cuba; illegally like most Cubans do, with just one dream, become the person I would love to be. Entrepreneur woman, working for myself, build a legacy, and show as many women as possible that we are stronger than we think and that we can accomplish anything we want in life. Everything started 5 years ago; when I found out my second child was on the way. I always love doing photos for myself, family and friends. When I had my daughter, I always planned her photoshoot with another photographer but bringing my ideas and how exactly I wanted the photos to be. So, when I find out I was having a second baby, and that I just wanted to take care of them and work in a flexible schedule for myself; I said this is the time; So, I started opening my business, and doing what I really loved to do… Photography. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road at all. It’s been hard since I have almost no guidance and help. I had to learn by myself and that was what made it harder. This is why I want to share everything I know and have learned so far. I want to create workshops were people just like me can learned and make their road a little more easier. Teach them how to run a Photography business from A to Z. 

We’ve been impressed with MiaBella’s Photography & Co, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
MiaBella’s Photography Studio is a small business located in the south area of Tampa Bay. It was officially open on April 2021. I specialize in Maternity, family, kids, and Quinceañeras. This year I want to also focus on Weddings, and capture all those beautiful moments between couples. I believe what sets me apart from others is my personality and creativity at the time of working on the sets I want to provide to my clients for the photos. I am very polite and friendly to my clients; once they walk into my studio, I make them feel like family; I want them to relax and feel like home with me; that way when I turned on my camera, I can capture the best pictures ever. 

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Yes, I do. First, I want to tell all those people that are just starting that the road may not be easy but with patience, hard work, and love they will get to the end. Also, always ask, and do not be shamed. Nobody was born knowing anything, so ASK every time you have to. And finally, no matter how hard it gets for you, never stop; close your ears for all those people that has nothing good to say about your dreams; be positive; be grateful for every single accomplishment you make, and dream bigger each day.
