Inspiring Conversations with Molly & Madeline Cutcliff of Soul Ties Yoga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Molly & Madeline Cutcliff.

Hi Molly & Madeline, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We’re sisters, best friends, and yoga teachers who have always felt most like ourselves when we’re together. That bond has shaped who we are and ultimately became the foundation for Soul Ties.

We’ve always loved trying new things together, whether that was a yoga class, a local event, or exploring somewhere we’d never been before. Some of our favorite memories came from those moments, and over time we found ourselves constantly searching for more of them around Tampa Bay.

As yoga teachers, we saw firsthand how movement could bring people together, but we became just as interested in what happened after people rolled up their mats. We started wondering: what if the experience didn’t have to end there?

When we couldn’t quite find what we were looking for, we decided to create it. We hosted our first event hoping even a handful of people would show up.

From there, Soul Ties grew organically. With every event, we listened, learned, and refined the experience. We realized people were looking for creative, welcoming experiences where meeting new people felt natural – and that yoga could be the starting point without feeling intimidating. We intentionally design our events so whether it’s your hundredth class or your very first, you’ll feel comfortable showing up.

Today, Soul Ties brings yoga out of the studio and into unique spaces across Tampa Bay. Creating spaces where people can move, connect, and feel like they belong has always been our dream, and we’re grateful we get to bring it to life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building Soul Ties has taught us to get comfortable with uncertainty. There have been moments when we questioned ourselves, events that didn’t go as planned, and plenty of behind-the-scenes challenges people never see. We’ve been learning in real time how to run events, grow a brand, build partnerships, and create meaningful experiences… all while balancing full-time jobs and everyday life.

If there’s one thing that’s shaped Soul Ties, it’s our willingness to keep learning. After every event, we document our “event learnings” and gather feedback from our community. We constantly ask ourselves what worked, what didn’t, and how we can make the next experience even better.

Looking back, every challenge has taught us something valuable. We’ve learned that you don’t need to have everything figured out to get started! You just need the courage to take the first step and trust yourself to figure out the rest along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Soul Ties Yoga?
Soul Ties brings yoga out of the studio and into some of Tampa Bay’s most iconic spaces, creating wellness experiences designed to bring people together.

What sets us apart is that the experience doesn’t end when class does. Our events are intentionally designed to give people a reason to stay – creating opportunities to meet new people, discover local businesses, and build genuine connections.

What we’re most proud of is the community that’s grown around Soul Ties. We’ve watched strangers become friends, guests become regulars, and even had community members tell us they felt inspired to start businesses of their own after attending our events. Knowing we’ve created a space where people feel connected, inspired, and confident enough to pursue something meaningful is the greatest compliment we could receive.
