Today we’d like to introduce you to Carin Zwiebel.
Hi Carin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in New York City and always had a deep love for the arts. That passion led me to the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) where I earned a BFA in Graphic Design. After beginning my career as an art director with Met Life, I met my husband, and we eventually left New York to settle in Tampa. While raising our two children, I launched an event planning company, which later opened the door to my true passion-interior design. For the past 12 years, I’ve devoted myself to refining my craft and building CZ Interior Designs into the boutique studio it is today.
CZ Interior Designs is known for its full-service, personalized approach that blends creativity with timeless design. We specialize in luxury residential projects throughout the Tampa Bay area and select homes in New York. Recently, we were honored to be recognized as one of the top interior design firms in Tampa Bay. At CZ Interiors, we take pride in truly listening to our clients. Every detail matters, and no challenge is too great to overcome.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like many in our industry, we face challenges such as product availability and quality control. With limited local resources, finding the perfect pieces sometimes means sourcing from other cities or working closely with trusted artisans. Thankfully, our amazing team is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of quality and craftsmanship in everything we do.

My design philosophy centers around creating warm, inviting, and family-friendly spaces that seamlessly blend traditional charm with modern sophistication. I believe a home should feel both lived-in and luxurious — a reflection of the people who inhabit it and the memories they create there.
My goal is to design spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful. Every room is carefully planned for effortless living, yet elevated with curated details that bring a sense of timeless luxury. I love layering textures, mixing materials, and playing with color to infuse depth and warmth throughout the home.
I believe that Form Follows Function, but that function should never compromise beauty. For me, great design tells a story — one that feels personal, intentional, and uniquely yours.
What matters most to you?
Design never feels like work to me-especially when clients express their gratitude for helping them create a home that feels like them. What matters most is that their space reflects their story, not just what’s trending. Bringing each client’s vision to life through timeless, unique and livable interiors is truly what I love and strive for every day.
