Inspiring Conversations with Albriana Youyoute of Albriana Shante Events

Hi Albriana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After being laid off from my corporate position and with the encouragement of my husband, I decided to pursue my first love, event planning. My passion for event planning began in high school when creating centerpieces for my late great-grandmothers 89th birthday party. It continued in college, where I planned events at the University of South Florida. As a member of the University Lecture Experience, I had the honor to meet the late great Maya Angelou. When I told her my name, she replied, “you have a beautiful name.” Of course, I told everyone. Listening to her speak that evening created such a significant impact on my life and is why today her famous quote, “people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” to heart. Today we are one of Tampa’s most highly sought after event and wedding planning firms.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Covid has been the biggest obstacle. Although industrywide, there has been a huge decrease in events and weddings, by the grace of God, we have been able to sustain and grow.

We’ve been impressed with Albriana Shante Events, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Albriand Shante Events is a destination wedding planning and design firm. We are based out of Tampa, Florida and available for travel internationally. We have nearly a decade of experience in production and design. We are known for designing bold statement pieces that are chic timeless. Your guest’s experience is our priority. We have a high-touch approach that includes custom designs and digitally sketched illustrations tailored to the client’s specific style and preferences. We pride ourselves on creating and designing digital sketches; they are like no other. We treat our couples like family and after each event, most are considered such.

What makes you happy?
My joy comes from my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Even in my lowest lows and darkest days, I know that he has his hands on me, my life, and my destiny. I am most happy when I spend time with my family and best friends. Although I love fashion and shopping,  I enjoy unique  experiences, traveling, and creating new memories more.
