Hidden Gems: Meet Kimberly Tucker of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Tucker.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born and raised here in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from Chamberlain high school, I moved to Tallahassee, Florida to attend Florida State University. Go Noles! I graduated from Florida State with a double major in Finance and Real Estate. Afterwards, I moved back to Tampa. My family is here and I think it is such a beautiful and fun city to live in! I tried the Finance route for about a year and decided the 9-5 job just wasn’t for me. I decided to get more into promotional marketing and started working at tradeshows, conventions, sporting events, concerts, and festivals as an independent contractor. I promoted brands at these events as either a brand ambassador, crowd gatherer, lead generator, or product specialist. I then signed on with Ford Automotive and traveled the country working Auto Shows as a Ford Product Specialist and Narrator for three years. Meanwhile, I also got my Real Estate license and been with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services for several years. I truly love both paths of work and they are each very flexible, so they go very well together. Since Covid, I have switched to do a little more online marketing for brands via Instagram and Facebook. 🙂

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have learned not to spread myself too thin and to say no to certain jobs or people. Quality  over Quantity! When I commit to something, I want to make sure I can do an amazing job and be able to give it my all. I have also learned how to deal with people. In this job you meet so many different types of people and being able to read and adapt to different personalities is very important.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Real Estate is so fun and fulfilling for me. This is such a huge part of someone’s life. I graduated with a major in Finance, so numbers are easy for me, and I am able to help clients with this. I also love hearing what clients want, and helping to make it happen is just fantastic. This is the biggest purchase of your life. It’s important to be able to be comfortable with your realtor and not feel rushed. I recognize how important this is, and I am very easygoing and always there to take a call and talk or see a place last minute!

What matters most to you?
Being happy. It’s so cliché, but life is just too short to stress yourself out if you don’t have to!
