Today we’d like to introduce you to Karoline Povil
Hi Karoline, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Since I grew up in Brazil, the beauty business has always been part of my life. In 2009 was when I decided to go to school to become an esthetician. Best decision of my life, I had no Idea then, how much I was really going to love it and all I would learn along the way. Now I am a solo esthetician looking into growing and providing the best care, services and products to all my clients, while educating them and helping them fall in love with their skin.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Nothing is smooth, unless you wax. Sorry I had to throw a wax joke there. I have worked for four different spas before I decided to go on my own. Some of those experiences were hard to deal with, but I helped me to be where I am at right now. It also has shown me which directions I want to go and what mistakes not to make.
As you know, we’re big fans of Skin care by Karoline. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I have a very different unique approach to skin care. My specialties for waxing are brow and brazilian wax. For facials, it is the gua sha, which is a very holistic approach to treating the skin. Helping the lymphatic drainage from the face, leaving the skin, less puffy, meaning, natural couture and a beautiful glow. The other is my micropeel. That stuff works miracle. A beautiful formulated peel that is applied as if it was a mask that with one session, you see unbelievable results. Great for those that have hyperpigmentation, large pores and acne scars. I am all for manual techniques and result driven products than fancy machines.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The beauty industry is forever changing. New products, new techniques, new procedures. Some are great, other no so much. Let’s just hope more people that beautiful skin also comes from overall wellness.
