Hi Edalia and Samantha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The idea of Frustration Station & Entertainment was born based on the lack of mental health awareness resources there are in our world today. We believe that providing an outlet for folks can truly bring down the numbers in domestic violence, suicide, bullying and mass shootings. Coming from Buffalo, New York and experiencing a mass shooting at our neighborhood grocery store prior to opening up really lit the fire underneath us! One person at a time we are hoping to be the reason to keep going or the safe space to not be ok!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Coming to Florida and opening up has indeed been a challenge. Within the first three months of opening we were shut down based on previous tenants doing un permitted work on the facility. Bills were still due and money was not being made. We were on the verge of giving up! But God had other plans! Here we are two years later hoping to be around for the next 40.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for quite some time. I happen to be an event planner and my partner Samantha Medina is a professional photographer. All of our businesses are rewarding however the Smash and Splash Rooms are definitely our proudest possession because the impact it has on our guests is the gift that’ll never stop giving and the difference between giving up or keeping up!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Being real, relatable people is what builds the success and sets the tone for our community. Folks need to know you understand them, have been there at some point and that you care!
