Hi Christina , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been a creative all of my life. My mother is a painter and I grew up dancing and making dresses, and reupholstering furniture, basically getting into anything I could find that was creative and artsy. I started my interior design business as a second career after first taking one out of necessity. But this one evolved organically and has become something I love so much that it infuses every part of my being.
I began very small and after a lot of learning, determination, and building trusting relationships with vendors, craftsmen and clients, I have grown to have a strong team and a brick a mortar studio and retail space on Davis Islands.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I always say there are no smooth roads, if it feels too comfortable, you are not stretching yourself enough.
There are so many challenges to be faced as a business owner, but I think some of the toughest are just reminding your self of your goals and having the tenacity to realize them.
