Today we’d like to introduce you to Brook Borup.
Hi Brook, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Many times in my corporate career, I said to myself, “My boss is an idiot. I would do this differently if I were in charge.”
For some people, rant over.
But for me? It was a spark. A challenge. An opportunity.
I could do this better!
And so, I did.
I said goodbye to corporate America and its mismanaged policies from mediocre managers who embraced stale ideas.
I had 15 years of experience in all levels of management and on top of that – I had entrepreneurial blood, sweat, and tears in my family DNA.
I brought with me the tools I had learned along the way.
I imagined a big, beautiful business plan that started with the right foundation, had strong support pillars and walls to protect the business, and topped it off with a solid roof to withstand the winds of peril and defeat.
I was building a business to help other business owners the same way I would imagine building a dream home, a glorious skyscraper, or an entire city.
Entrepreneurs are builders.
We build on an idea, that becomes a plan – an architectural blueprint if you will – that requires materials, specialty equipment and tools, and the right manpower to build a successful business.
I see the vision of small business owners.
I see myself as the architect of my own dreams and those of others on the entrepreneur journey.
I have a team of project managers and tradesmen waiting to help you build the structure where your business dream grows successfully.
Brick-by-brick. Piece-by-piece.
Until we can both stand back and say, “We built that. We built it our way. And it’s beautiful and strong and better than I ever imagined when that first idea sparked, and my old boss pissed me off for the last time.”
**Start Small and Dream Big**
Small business owners and entrepreneurs often start with just themselves.
Their knowledge, passion, and skills for the job they do.
They try to balance the endless tasks with their family and other commitments, barely daring to take a day off let alone a vacation.
Where you once depended on a steady paycheck from a job you hated, you now take on the responsibility – and burden – of making payroll, covering expenses, and paying yourself so your child or spouse can have the things you feel they deserve.
And yet…there’s a tremendous feeling of satisfaction and achievement when you do all that.
On your terms, with your vision of a better company with a better product or service than anyone else offers.
It fuels your dreams and feeds your drive to continue.
I know this feeling.
It’s why I created My Clone Solution with the vision that everyone deserves help.
My experience showed me how administrative tasks bogged down the process of growing a business.
When I show business owners how they can – and should – delegate these tasks out to do what they excel at doing, there’s often some resistance.
That’s normal.
But the overwhelm eventually convinces even the most hesitant that the only way to grow is to let go.
My Clone Solution gives small business owners what the Midwestern entrepreneurs in my family never had – a comprehensive plan to build your business with a support team and tools that corporate CEO’s have.
It’s how they make BIG things happen.
They delegate and hire out the small tasks that distract them from their dream.
Your business can grow and thrive when the right blueprint, business foundation, and team implement a strategy that works for you.
Let me explain how to be the success you know you are destined to be!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth road?
That’s adorable.
Look, building a business that actually delivers on its promises—instead of selling templates and calling it “done-for-you”—comes with some battle scars.
One of the biggest struggles was the non-payment issue. I trusted that people would pay for the custom work we delivered. Turns out, some folks are great at starting projects and terrible at finishing them—including the payment part. That’s why we implemented prepayment policies. It wasn’t a fun lesson, but it was a necessary one and still after 12 years in business we get lax sometimes with our best customers and we end up having to fire them for the same reason. It just reminds us that we need to learn that hard lesson once again.
Then there’s the constant battle of differentiation. Everyone and their cousin calls themselves a VA, OBM, Project Manager, COO, bookkeeping company or claims to offer “done-for-you” services. But here’s the dirty secret: most of those “done-for-you” services still require YOU to do the work. They hand you a template and wish you luck. We don’t operate that way, but convincing people that we’re different? That’s required some serious persistence and changes to our messaging to really convey value and not just “what can I have you do for me.”
Another challenge has been working with tech-phobic business owners who know they need systems but break into a cold sweat at the mention of CRM integration. These are brilliant people who are amazing at what they do, but technology isn’t their language. So we’ve had to develop ways to explain concepts multiple times in different formats, create step-by-step materials, and provide ongoing support—not just drop off a solution and disappear.
The reality is that serving over 800 business owners across over 8 countries taught me that most people don’t struggle with knowing their goals. They struggle with the implementation steps to actually achieve them. Bridging that gap between strategy and execution? That’s where the real work happens, and it’s messy, complicated, and rarely smooth.
But would I change it? Not a chance. Every struggle refins our process and makes us better at what we do.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My Clone Solution, under Our Service Pros Inc., exists because too many heart-centered business owners are drowning in the day-to-day grind while their competition somehow seems to have it all figured out.
Spoiler alert: they don’t. They just have better systems.
We specialize in being the business producer that overwhelmed entrepreneurs desperately need but didn’t know existed. Here’s what that actually means: while other companies hand you a template and call it “done-for-you,” we build custom solutions and then—here’s the wild part—we actually stick around to help you implement and manage them.
Our primary focus right now is serving the Fitness and Alternative Medicine industries because these are practitioners who got into business to change lives, not to become marketing experts or tech wizards. We use Time2GSD CRM, built on the HighLevel platform, to bring them all the functionality that active marketers need without the chaos of juggling seventeen different expensive tools that don’t talk to each other.
But here’s where we’re different: we don’t just set up your systems and ghost you. We automate your marketing and communication, build delegation plans with redundancies so you can actually hire that assistant you’ve been putting off, and teach you to manage your business instead of being a slave to it. We’re also pioneering the humanization of AI education because let’s face it—this technology isn’t going anywhere, and business owners need to know how to use it without sounding like robots.
Yes, we still build websites, handle bookkeeping, create social media content, write blog posts and emails, and run both in-person and virtual events. But the difference? Our clients trust us to be their business producer, not just their doer. They bring the business knowledge; we bring the custom solutions, ongoing support, strategic guidance, and accountability.
We’ve served over 800 business owners across 8 countries, and our growth comes almost entirely from current clients, past clients, and their referrals. Because that’s how real relationships are built—not through flashy ads promising overnight success, but through actually delivering results and sticking around for the messy middle parts of business growth.
What am I most proud of brand-wise? We’ve created a reputation for being the team that tells you the truth, even when it’s not what you want to hear. We’re fun but firm, and we don’t pretend that business success is about finding some magic hack. It’s about putting in the strategic work, building the right systems, and having a partner who won’t disappear when things get complicated.
We prepare businesses not just to survive, but to scale with structure—and eventually exit with a valuation that reflects the empire they’ve built.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most people look at My Clone Solution and assume I have it all figured out.
Plot twist: I absolutely don’t.
Here’s what might surprise people: I still get completely out of sorts when problems derail my systems. Technology changes? Yeah, they trip me up too. And the public release of AI? That caused me to change a massive portion of my process because suddenly what worked yesterday doesn’t work the same way today.
My business is changing and evolving just like my clients’ businesses are. The difference isn’t that I’ve mastered everything—it’s that I’m just ahead of the curve because I believe that systems and processes actually work to save time, money, and make things scalable.
The key word there? *As long as the process can change.*
That’s the part most “systems experts” won’t tell you. They sell you rigid frameworks and act like business is some puzzle you solve once and you’re done. But real business is messy. It shifts. Technology evolves. Markets change. AI shows up and flips everything sideways.
I’m not immune to that chaos. I just have a framework that bends instead of breaks when things go wrong.
So yeah, I built this business because I was drowning and needed systems to survive. But I keep building it every single day because those systems have to adapt or they become just another thing that doesn’t work anymore.
The expert with all the answers? She’s actually just someone who’s committed to figuring it out alongside her clients—staying a few steps ahead, learning fast, and adjusting faster.
Because that’s what actually works in the real world.
