Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Bauer.
Hi Brittany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got engaged in May of 2019 & began planning my 2020 wedding. I’ve always wanted to have my own business, set my own hours, and really make an impact on others. As a full-time Project Manager working for a healthcare company at the time, it hit me just how similar Wedding Planning was to Project Management.
I decided to start my business in 2020 which had to be put on hold due to Covid. In March of 2021, I returned back to my full-time job after 12 weeks of maternity leave and wasn’t looking forward to what life would be like as a working mom with the demands of my corporate job.
It was then I made the decision to quit my full-time job to be home with my son and relaunch my Wedding Planning Business, Brittany Bauer Events. We have grown more than I could have imagined in a short period of time serving couples all over the Tampa Bay Area for both Wedding Planning and Wedding Management (also known as Day Of/Month Of Coordination).
Being a Wedding Planner has been a very rewarding experience, we now help couples not only create a memorable wedding day but a unique guest experience.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s definitely not been a smooth ride getting where we are today!
Naturally starting your own business comes with a unique set of challenges; challenges include learning how to acquire clients and adapt to technology that’s constantly changing!
Learning algorithms, SEO, and more! COVID presented an entirely separate world of challenges to ensure guests’ health and safety. We’ve come out on the other side stronger and better than ever to serve our couples for the most important day of their lives.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Brittany Bauer Events is known for creating a unique wedding planning experience for all of our couples!
I am hands-on in every way with our couples whether they’re wanting to plan their own wedding and have me join in to button up the details closer to the wedding day or want an expert to help them on their planning journey from the very beginning.
My couples are so much more to me than “just another client” they become my friends and I love to keep in touch long after their wedding day.
Brittany Bauer Events was born from decades of experience in Hospitality and Project Management; this experience has taught me how to serve my couples and their wedding guests, and how to create tools and systems which allow my couples to have a stress-free wedding planning experience while also enjoying their engagement season to the fullest!
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I LOVE networking and human interaction! I suggest talking with other professionals in a one-on-one setting to start so you’re able to get to know other companies in your industry!
A one-on-one experience is less overwhelming and allows you to be more focused on the person sitting in front of you. Also, take the time to not only get to know their business but get to know their story as the person behind the business.
