Today we’d like to introduce you to Monique Glenn.
Hi Monique, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started doing hair in my mother’s house in 2013 while in hair school then I was hired by a lady name Willa Kennedy as her assistant.
She helped me get out there and meet new people she then moved to another city so I was on my own I work in a salon and a barbershop then I went back to working for Willa again when she came back and opened a salon and a makeup shop.
I was once her assistant again that didn’t last too long I back was on my own and that’s when I decided to open my own salon in 2020 by 2021 November, I opened my second salon now today May 2022, and I currently only have one salon and now I’m an Airbnb owner.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I sell laces, flat irons, and hot combs. I have two active stylists up under me while still being the boss.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I did everything on my own and with the help of my mother.
