Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Thank you for this opportunity… and to be able to show other entrepreneurs and courageous women that we can achieve our dreams with work and a lot of perseverance.
When I emigrated 7 years ago, I had to work in a hotel and I cleaned kitchens, then I worked in a restaurant and then in a bakery, all of this helped me to develop an interest in wanting to do something else, all these tasks developed a new skill in me and an incredible desire to do something different, I started making cakes and flan for $5 and $15, little by little, I increased my clientele and I no longer only saw the opportunity to offer cakes but also catering and sweets for events and banquets for big parties. Little by little, I have managed to offer a complete service of food, drinks, sweets, and snacks for any event. And I keep trying and discovering ways to help our clients have less worry in the development and execution of their parties… We currently serve the entire Tampa Bay area.
We must always be prepared or educated, looking for information that every day brings us closer to what we want, nothing is by chance, everything has a beginning of a cycle, and everything starts with something with a desire, a want, however, that must go hand in hand with work and sacrifice so that it can give a result that can please us, everything I see right now in my personal and business life I always dreamed of and I established an action plan to get to where I am, there is still much to do but I feel that I am on the right track and I love what I feel in being able to see a large part of this dream that I had 7 years ago come true…
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all, it has been a path full of many doubts as far as our thoughts are the first to play so that you don’t do it, our struggles are always with ourselves trying to overcome our mind, and of course, there are always people who belittle your work and they don’t believe in you, those have been the worst stones that I found on my way.
