Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosey Williams.
Hi Rosey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started hosting markets over eight years ago. Earlier this year, we were steadily producing monthly markets in St. Pete and Tampa and did pop shows in Miami and Gainesville. Our markets were heavily supported and integrated into each community.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I’ve always been faced with challenges, especially within the last few years. Every year I’m making mistakes, learning and adapting.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Indie Flea?
As a company, we are trying new concepts to still provide a platform for our makers and vendors while having to reconstruct what our events look like due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our number one priority is keeping vendors, staff, and our community safe, and we are constantly brainstorming and planning ways to safely support our network. Our company has the communities in mind, the neighborhoods, the creative class in general. My team has volunteered and helped so much during these difficult times. Without them, none of our efforts would be possible!
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Follow us for updates about our new concept, the Indie Flea Holiday General Store Pop Up in St. Pete, Florida. Expect to find boutique, handmade items, vintage, provisions and gifts. Saturday & Sunday, Dec 5&6, 12-4pm. Masks required! Attendance will be regulated in a well ventilated warehouse at Coastal Creative, 2201 1st Ave S., St. Pete, FL. @indieflea.
