Hi Dr. Ford, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After suffering with debilitating migraines for over a decade, I sought out the help of a Chiropractor while in my early 20’s. After only a few weeks of chiropractic care, my migraines completely disappeared. This life-altering change spurred my passion for chiropractic care and natural healing. This change inspired me to switch careers and go back to school to pursue my doctorate in Chiropractic. While in chiropractic school, I focused my elective studies on pediatric, pregnancy, and family care, with the goal of one-day promoting wellness for the entire family. That goal germinated and ’blossomed’ into the creation of the Blossom Family Chiropractic practice.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I feel fortunate to have opened my office in a community that is so supportive of local business. When I decided to make the move from a salaried position as a chiropractor in Atlanta to move to St. Pete and start my own business from scratch, I was scared and excited at the same time. I knew it was a big risk but that I also had the opportunity to serve families in a bigger way and to create the practice of my dreams! When I look at my practice four years later, I am awed everyday by the community that has been created, the families that I have been able to serve, and the babies, birthdays, anniversary’s, and big life wins I’ve been able to celebrate and be a part of! Its taken years of hard work, but I am so grateful for my Blossom Family and the practice I have been able to build in St. Pete.

Blossom Family Chiropractic is located in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg and focuses on family wellness with an emphasis in maternal health, pregnancy, and pediatric chiropractic care. We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I guess I was born to be an entrepreneur! As a child, my friends and I would start our new business every weekend. We used to make ‘meals’ of bologna sandwiches and gatorade and would sell them to runners. We would make bracelets and bookmarks and sell them as gifts for the holidays and birthdays. We saved all our profit ($330 over the course of 10 years) to try and buy a horse. Obviously, the $330 never afforded us the horse. However, we did take riding lessons, haha!
