Hi Dylan, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is a normal day like for you right now?
To be honest this question does not have a true answer. My days are unexpected, living day to day and being present at work, interactions, projects and with love ones… I don’t think I’m made for a routine if I’m being honest. I need a new story to look forward every day
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello Readers! I’m Dylan Collado @collado_dylan, I am a Makeup Artist and Beauty Digital Creator currently living in Tampa Florida ! I’m obsessed with the High Fashion and Backstage World, presenting Editorial and Artistic Makeup my biggest strengths but I also dont limit myself. My work is very versatile and love flowing around concepts and stories ! I love creating content of my work and I see content as story telling my life and passions thru a hidden glass
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was just a passionate and artistic little boy, always being creative with life, material stuff and playing with my imagination to create beautiful memories and experiences that will fulfill me
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
Yes there is. The thing I miss the most is my Brother, experiencing grief has been the most difficult and mentally challenging for me and my work, sometimes I double think my purpose and lose desire of success… but I also understand I would not be willing to stop because i work from passion, and passion brings happiness and it will become the most beautiful way of healing and finding my true self
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Living life! For you to be able to be successful, in the outside you need to be passionate, mentally stable as much as possible and motivated to be able to perform your best on the things you truly love and care about
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
I’m sitting down at a cafe while speaking with you , drinking a glass of strawberry matcha and my project notebook next to me after doing a clients makeup… enjoying myself every chance I have and even if I live day to day, it’s one step closer to my biggest dreams
