Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarita Sackie.
Hi Sarita, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Nearly half of adults in the United States are single, but you wouldn’t know it from how our culture talks about it. Singleness gets treated like there’s something wrong with you. People start asking questions. Making assumptions. And so many of us end up feeling like we’re incomplete—like joy or worth only comes when you’re in a relationship.
I know that feeling. I carried it with me every single day.
For years, I was chasing the wrong kind of love because I was terrified of being alone. I tried to build my whole identity around other people. Anything to avoid doing the harder work of facing my own wounds.
Everything changed in 2020. The world went quiet, and suddenly I had nowhere to run. I was sitting there with all my regrets, and I just… broke down. I cried more than I ever had in my life. I was convinced I’d never find peace, or love, or any kind of lasting happiness.
But in that stillness, God met me. Not with anger or judgment—with this calm, steady light. And in that light, I found hope. I found my identity. I found my mission.
Those tears that felt like they might drown me? They became something else. They watered the ground I was standing on. And from that ground, Certified Single grew.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not been smooth, and in many ways the rough places shaped the heart of Certified Single. Before this work had a name, it lived in years of striving, confusion, and quiet shame. I spent a long time believing my worth depended on being chosen. That belief carried me into relationships that dimmed my voice and kept me from facing the hurt I held inside.
The hardest part was the loneliness that followed me even when I wasn’t alone. I had to confront the patterns I created, the fears I ignored, and the pain I kept tucked away. The turning point came in 2020, when everything stopped. The stillness forced me to meet myself without distraction. That season was heavy, but it was needed because that is where my transformation began.
God works in mysterious ways because not too long after that, I was invited to a local church in East Tampa called Center For Manifestation, and there I learned that identity is not given by another person. It is lived, shaped, and strengthened through the truth in understanding who you are in Jesus Christ. Through building a relationship with Him through the Bible, prayer, fasting, journaling, all the things! Certified Single grew from that truth. It grew from the struggle, the tear-stained nights, and the slow courage of choosing wholeness over approval.
So no, the road has not been smooth. But the rough ground is where I found purpose. And it is where this mission found its roots.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do not teach from a distance. I teach from the path I’ve walked. Certified Single is not a concept to me. It is my testimony, my assignment, and my commitment to guide others through the same kind of healing that changed my life. I serve as a Christian content creator, ministry leader, curriculum developer, and visionary with a deep passion for helping singles walk through emotional healing, identity restoration, and purpose-driven living.
Through Certified Single, I create transformational experiences for Christian singles. This includes a six month healing and purpose program, cinematic storytelling on YouTube, digital devotionals, coaching, and a genuine faith-based community. Everything I produce is rooted in real experience, biblical truth, and practical tools that help people grow in their single season with strength and clarity.
What sets my work apart is the focus on becoming whole, not simply waiting for life to begin with a relationship. Many Christian singles are tired of shallow advice and messages filled with messages that they aren’t good enough. Yes, they want truth, but they also want spaces where they can learn to set boundaries, heal from the past, understand their identity in Christ, and step into their purpose with confidence while building community. That is the space Certified Single creates.
What I am most proud of is watching people come alive. Seeing someone move from confusion to clarity, from hurt to healing, from isolation to identity, reminds me why this mission matters. Certified Single changes the narrative for singles. It does so on purpose, and with purpose.
What makes you happy?
What makes me truly happy is watching people step into their God given assignment and purpose. For a long time I didn’t know my own. I lived without direction, without confidence, and without a clear sense of who I was or what I was called to do. Seeing others rise into their identity, embrace healing, and walk boldly in the purpose God placed in them brings me joy because I know what it feels like to live without that clarity. Their breakthrough reminds me of God’s grace in my own story, and it fuels my commitment to help others discover the same freedom.
