Today we’d like to introduce you to Kurt Kiehnle.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Music has always been a big part of my life. I started out just playing for fun — a few friends, a few beers, and some good songs. Before long, those jam sessions turned into something more. I realized how much I loved being on stage and connecting with people through music.
That’s how Jack’d Up Band came to life. It started small — a few local gigs, backyard parties, bars that would give us a shot. But the energy from the crowd, the late nights, and the friendships we built kept pushing us forward. We didn’t set out to “make it big”; we just wanted to play music that made people smile, dance, and forget their worries for a while.
Over time, our sound tightened, our fan base grew, and what started as a weekend hobby became a big part of who I am. Every show is still a reminder of where we started — just a bunch of folks who love good music and good times.
Today, I’m proud of how far we’ve come. Jack’d Up Band isn’t just about the songs we play; it’s about the community we’ve built around them. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Jack’d Up Band didn’t come easy. We started in garages and small bars where half the crowd barely looked up from their drinks. We played through bad sound, broken strings, late nights, and long drives for little more than gas money and a couple of beers. There were times I wondered if it was worth it — but I couldn’t walk away.
What kept me going was the music, and the feeling of locking in with the group on stage when everything just clicked. Every struggle — every empty room, every setback — made us tougher. We learned to fight for every bit of progress.
Now, when I look out and see a crowd singing along, I remember all those rough nights that got us here. We earned this, one song at a time.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a musician and frontman for Jack’d Up Band. We specialize in high-energy live shows that blend rock, country, and crowd favorites. What sets us apart is the connection we build — every performance is personal, real, and meant to bring people together.
I’m proud that we built this band from the ground up through hard work and passion. For us, it’s not just about playing music — it’s about creating moments that people remember.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Playing sports, going to the beach & pool, family vacations and the Holidays- especially Christmas!
